5:46 i learned this a while ago but never saw it happen in game but calamities as you know are created to eliminate threats or scout out an area seen as dangerous and the thing is if they manage to eliminate the threat they were assigned to or the threat is here and they reached the designated location they will plop out a mound at the location they were sent to.

And if the calamity sent to the location of the killed spore entity doesn't die and kills what killed the spore entity or just doesn't see the threat in the area it will generate a mound to infect the area because it is deemed safe.

They finally changed the shape of the biomass wall from square to circle and it looks amazing! I can't wait to play the updated version of it I'm excited ASF!.. And wow! I never expected the MI's to win this one! Also I love the new variants of the mi they're so powerful now! Amazing video brother!!! 👍👍
@@kkgty with the recent update of the sculk, I think that's going to be a difficult fight for the spore and MI. Both MI and spore haved their own defense mechanism and they're both strong as the time goes on so I think it's possible for the spore or mi to win against the sculk 👍👍
The Mis won primarily since they were picky about which Evolved to take out: The Flesh That Hates infected plus the Things made the grave mistake of massacring all the Evolved, which pretty much caused the Spore to spam Siegers & eventually get a Hindenburg (their strongest infected). I made this based on the observation that the Mis didn't just decide to "non-lethally" evict a Braurei from their base.
@@kkgty the sculk will never die, even if you kill all the mobs, kill all the infected blocks, as long as the ancient node is not broken then it will live long enough to defeat it's enemy, that's what i like about it

I was really expecting the mi to lose every single battle since they take a lot of damage from mycelium infection and the very strong hyper evolved and calamities. But the chosen spamming from the mis and their ability to bridge managed to win the final battle. Really cool video! Also rip diplomats. 9:08

Sculk horde doesnt stand a chance until they make it actually strong, its fellow infection mods have been buffed so much now, it doesnt even deserve to be compared to them

Really cool seeing mis almost defeat a gazenbreacher, even if they needed buffed spawns/building and prep. Their wide variety of ranged attacks worked well with that one chosen mi using his levitation ability to keep tossing it away from the base
I'd like to see the Miis go up against that one zombie mod that was used in that big 200 player event. I don't know what it was called but I do remember that the zombies got stronger, faster, and became increasingly numerous with time. Their end-goal being taking a city back from them. The longer it takes them to do it the meaner the zombies would get, so their own advances might not be enough to handle it.
Please please please do something with Irons Spells n Spellbooks again. It got a heck ton of new Spells, Spellbooks, Mobs and even new mechanics like Staffs. Maybe a Spell Review or sth like that? (Sorry but I just love this mod)
I will say if mis struggling to target stuff keep being a big issue, you can add entity ids to a "mi attack config" list so they always attack them immediately on sight. I made extensive use of it so with sculk and spore alike, nothing more anticlimatic than gravemind placing spore spewers on top of a mi base and seeing mis act none the wiser while they're numbers drop

They have a set limit to what they can become, and even though they already start strong they can’t go beyond. Honestly, the Spore could wash the Mi in their early phases. At that point they barely understand machinery. But as the game goes on, the Mi only get stronger. Mi-ridium weapons and armor, while unimpressive compared to a Calamity, are also much easier to make. Only one of these thrives in attrition. The Spore is a matter of _if,_ the Mi are a matter of _when._

Also, Mis have significant terraforming powers (as well as a crazy strong navy), and death angels can't swim. Sure, the military couldn't beat them. But how the fuck can random people do that then?
I love the Mi colony. The idea of them building an entire civilization is so cool. But they aren't so strong against the other infection mobs. I really wish they would be stronger.
Been constantly testing out arms races between the Mi alliance and the Spore invasion. The Mi's overpower the spore during the first few days due to their advantage in planning coordinated attacks, but once the hive mind grows and also starts sending troops strategically and deploying "quality over quantity" troops to eliminate threats, the Mi would receive a heavy blow in their development and I had to advance Mi up to phase 2 just for it to barely defend against the grotesque Calamities. After around 10 days, it either ends up in the Mi being weakened so much it could no longer stand a fight against the spore, or ending up in a slow, brutal war of attrition, with both sending squads to weaken the other and never quite succeeding to do any real damage.
I would like some sort of great war between every infection mod,the wither storm and the all the mis. It would be interesting to see an actual war and perhaps the mis maybe create some form of alliance with the from another world beasts since both of them are aliens.
does it get to laggy for you? i was thinking of putting spores in my vanilla+ modpack but forcing the mobs to spawn in only 1 dimension like the lost cities so it doesn't take away from the rest of the game but I'm scared my ticks per second is gonna go insanely high
@@Blaze-cp8vf i don’t really think so i run on a laptop with a 1650 and a I5 and have other mods in the custom pack like JEI to let me search and guns and weapons etc but honestly I recommend giving it a try in survival cause thats what ive been doing and its fun

Reminder! Spore infection gets a debuff, Grows slower and its enemies starve faster if its in a cold biome.
They can’t evolve in snow biomes, have slowness 2 and weakness 1 etc

Gazenbreacher does not summon in mounds, it was the proto hivemind it can summon mounds to infest further.
