Here some guide about their lore
FLAT is the place where ae lives
SYNK is the condition where human and it's ae connected. the more they share thoughts and feelings the more their synk stronger, the peak of their synk called REKAL

SYNK OUT a phenomenon in which the synk between human and ae are forcibly cut off
SYNK DIVE a phenomenon in which human and ae become one that lead human can enter to flat and kwangya, but human real body stay in real world (u can watch this eps again, they explained it there)

My theory about their symbolism when they trapped in BM's illusion:-
1. Winter is about malicious rumor.
2. Giselle is about exploitation or invasion of privacy.
3. Ningning is about hurtful online comments.
4. Karina is about self doubt and confidence issues.
