Finally! The first to come and the last to have a hero spotlight. And it's so cool to see Catherine finally murders Ardan family after over 10 years of pursuit :)

Oddly enough she was my first and all time favorite main. I never played MOBA before, I was never really a strategic person, and personality wise I would be the last person you'd think would of being a leader. Surprisingly somehow with all of this that shpuld have been working against me never really did. I was really good at the captain role, I had a knack for knowing when and how to start engagements, I was very confident in leading my team. I would spend hours playing and make so many friends online always surprised at just how good my Catherine was. I wish I could go back and replay those days
Same. Vainglory was my first MOBA, and Catherine was my character. I got pretty good with her. She remained my main all throughout my time with Vainglory, even when I branched out to other heroes and even other roles. My teammates knew I was serious when I picked Catherine. My favorite memory is when I lost both my laner and jungler, and had a full enemy team as well as a Kraken bearing down on me and my last turret. Well, a well-placed silence, some really bad positioning by the enemy team, a well-timed stun, and Joule's ult onto my shield led to me killing all enemy team members. My teammates were screaming into my ear on voice-chat as we killed the Kraken and tore down the lane to destroy the enemy team's Vain Crystal. Best feeling in the world to save the game as the Captain.

Catherine is an amazing player. She doesn't do a ton of damage, but her stun and silencing moves provide an easy opportunity for your team to ambush and kill enemies.

Amazing as usual Ciderhelm! Catherine is my main so it was really cool to watch some awesome plays made by Zekent, Chainsaw, and Andre there. Looking forward to seeing what her skin looks like!

Full Support Catherine and Ardan are my favorites. As a Catherine main, I always stun at the beginning of the game to ensure high armor stack.

She killed his wife, the least Ardan can do is picking a fight with her whenever he have a chance.
Well, if the lore is read properly, Ardan doesn't really know the whole story. Julia literally forced Catherine to kill her, just to save Celeste and Vox. The continuation of the Stormguard lore is where Kestrel and Catherine are waiting on the answers of the other Stormguard members to try and save the twins. Ardan is just acting out of blind rage at the moment.
Catherine pulls of her clothes and stuns all enemy heroes that can see her for 2 minutes.

"Let's look at the ability in another team fight. Catherine has just killed Joule in the enemy jungle.
Both Glaive and Ringo arrive to punish her, the instant they're in range she pulls of her clothes stunning them both, giving Petal and Krul the time to help her.
Krul is forced to stop for a moment after seeing Catherine, feeling his boner come to life. Petal, unaffected by the stun, moves in to secure the kill on the two.
Unable to do anything, Glaive and Ringo are left helpless as they are chewed away by munions.
Joule then comes back to the jungle in a desperate attempts help her allies. She has no choice but to gawk at the sight before her, as they are both killed.
Looking down at her own VERY FLAT CHEST, she starts crying in frustration and immediately quits the match"

If you get ahead, Falcon Punch Catherine is one of the funniest things in the game. Torsion Bow + Aftershock + means you can sprint screaming out of the jungle, punch the enemy laner in the face for half his hp, then auto and ult him to death and laugh back to the bank. I love it.
lol yeah. back before the extra support items, aggro captain Ardan/Catherine were funny with the amount of burst they could do.
they're good for fights that move around the map and interval burst damage, but kinda suck at sustained fights.
Thank god its Ciderhelm. Was getting a bit worried if it was Zekent lol. No hate on the dude though. I just prefer Ciderhelm doing the spotlights.

Her armor perk is NOT always permanent! If you get D/C'ed, for whatever reason, they reset. During last week's server issues I would time out and DC'ed constantly and despite building a 30-40+ armor boost at times...I'd come back completely useless and squishy.
ThoughT It's a bug they are highly aware of, but is very hard to fix.
pls help ive been trying to play her and im doing well almost every game, but most of those game my team barely do any dmg and when they do they are SUPER squishy and get taken down instant by hero like saw or krul. My best option is to stun one of them but after ult i literally cant do anything to stop them. Team wouldnt coop and keep goin front line. I really wanna try catherine crystal build but afraid of lacking def. Pls Help

If you want Catherine to have better dmg but this items: Tyrants Monicle, SorrowBlade
Literally the worst advice ever. Catherine is a support, not a carry to kill heroes. Your team's carries are the ones who should be taking kills. You should be helping them take those kills.

Hey. Why dont u guys remake the hero spotlight. I mean. This video contain old item and old ability.(idk if anything changes).
So i have a question about a item build that i use and i need a few opinions onit because im not that good at the game and would also apeeciate amy changes to the set that you could recommend
So the build that i go with is je following:
I start of with an ieon guard contract a scout trap and 2 potions i indeietly start rushing to getting doutin of renewal and after buy half the atlas pauldreon but not the atlas it self after that i buy boots and a void battery imdietly after i start working on gettin my crucible while doing all of this i usaly finish my atlas pauldreon and boots to tier 2 and often carry scout traps flares and potions is there any changes i should make to my build ? Or is it ok as is
P.S. i max out her ulti and merciles pursuit
I m a Catherine player also so I recommend you to follow this:start off with iron guard contract and 2 potions,then work on crucible if the enemy team is working on crystal power n if they r working for weapon power work on pauldron(sry for the spelling it's actually the last last defensive item),get boots in between n then work on warhorn.when that's done go for aftershock n tension bow.....follow this if the team has squishy players like celeste.....if the team has strong players like saw,krul and glaive get some defensive items which makes you strong ex dragon heart and reflex block,then aftershock,warhorn,boots n remember to get boots as soon as possible....player name:DEON or deon skill tier :

sebastjan kosec I tend to rush a stormguard banner in case my allied jungler splits from me at times. It allows for much easier farming. Crucible next because most enemies have an ultimate that can be easily blocked (i.e. Ringo, Celeste, Catherine, Adagio). From there i build a fountain or atlas depending on if the enemy team is Weapon Power or CP. A weapon power SAW is just asking you to stun him then atlas so he can't get spun up again, he just has to run away from the fight. If you are going against both a weapon carry AND crystal carry build both fountain and atlas. After that finish your stormguard into a warhorn. It will make your stun available a lot more reliably plus give your team that extra burst of movement speed to chase down that fleeing enemy at the end of the fight. Hope this helps!

Don't go WP or CP Cath, or Ardan, PLEASE! You're team thinks you'll be going support, so do that. It's more beneficial. Plus, they're designed as protectors, not warriors.
Weapon Ardan and crystal Catherine can be devastating when played correctly- choosing "jungler" should remedy any confusion. Please don't encourage people to be narrow minded about a given hero's capabilities.
Also, in Ardan's hero spotlight Ciderhelm mentions that Ardan can be built as a warrior.
Crystal Catherine is really strong if you play her right. It's also a judgment call. Is your enemy team weak enough so that you can forego the support you're expected? Are you confident in playing a squishier Catherine for the sake of kills? If you can answer yes to both, then Crystal Catherine is pretty strong to play. I main Catherine and if I see the game going one sided my way after 8-12 minutes into the game, I take a Crystal route and start focusing on kills. My team usually understands, because I don't forego my support responsibilities like helping at chases and retreats.

Vainglory is so flexible, that even heroes not even designed to be in a role are still able to play those roles.
