I remember the Gentleman Ghost from The All New Superfriends Hour. He took his revenge on Superman and Wonder Woman by turning them into ghosts. It was a great series with the GG being one of their most formidable foes.
I was first introduced to Gentleman Ghost from Batman: The Brave and The Bold, I freaking love him, he is underrated as a villain and deserves more credit, I am so glad he has a Lego Minifigure, it's a shame Gentleman Ghost isn't in DC's Arrowverse, The Writers will probably regret not putting him in at all, he probably would have been a Villain on DC's Legends of Tomorrow, i would have put him the Third Season as an Antagonist, I Hope Gentleman Ghost appears in a Live Action DC Movie one day, Jude Law is the perfect actor to play this Ghostly DC Supervillain in Live Action, Law was born to play him, he was also a villain who was seriously considered to appear in Batman: The Animated Series but sadly never did, had he though it would have made him a but more memorable and a bit more recognized, it's also cool that despite being primarily a Hawkman/Hawkgirl Villain, Gentleman Ghost has also Fought Batman and The Justice Society of America,

I always liked this character, but when I was a kid his ghostly nature was still in question (at least in all of his appearances I read), which I preferred. It was fun looking for clues about "is he or isn't he?" But, I'll always consider him an Earth-Two Hawkman villain since that Golden Age reprint was my introduction to him. Its a shame though that Crisis couldn't have held off long enough to find out if the Earth-Two and Earth-One Gentleman Ghosts were one and the same and if not, which, if any, were really ghosts.
I could see Gentleman Ghost making a great movie adversary. Maybe Robert's Batman is descended from the executioner who put an innocent Craddock to death, and Gentleman Ghost is hunting down the descendants of the judge, jury, etc. Maybe Gordon is the descendant of the arresting officer, and two-face is the heir to the judge who sentenced Craddock
Imagine if the Gentleman Ghost was the 13th Ghost in the 2001 film 13 Ghost and Actor Tony S., interesting Plot Twist! Also Imagine Gentleman Ghost vs. Deadman, interesting Fight/Battle!

I agree but I think it depends. If they do a version where it’s ambiguous if he’s a ghost or not but it’s revealed in the end he’s human than sure he could be a Batman villain. But if he’s actually a ghost then it’d make more sense for him to be at least a Zatanna villain.

Question, canonically, which side is his monocle supposed to be on? It seems to flip back and forth from appearance to appearance (maybe he rotates it to keep his vision even.)
DC's horror anthology GHOSTS had a host in its later issues that was a virtual dead ringer for the Gentleman Ghost called Squire Shade. The only noticeable difference between them was that SS wore pince-nez while GG wears a monocle. It would make for a nice fake out if a DC movie looked to be having the Gentleman Ghost pop up, only to reveal it's the Squire Shade as a sort of supernatural confidential informant.
