I really think this quote does the game justice. He really says it all, and I wouldn't describe this game any other way.

I bet watching this was a rollercoaster ride for the devs. They were impressed by the runner's technical understanding of the build, mortified when the game crashed, impressed by the grappling skills and appreciative for the love of their work! This is my first time watching a Halo speed run and I never thought it would be this damn interesting!
I'm certain that speed runners are geniuses.
This was one incredibly hype run, massive props to Waifu for this one.

Tbe 343 donations were the only support they have given this game in months.
Dont know if its still a thing but you can just use regular melee attack with the hammer and it uses no ammo and still kills better.
Just like how the real Master Chief would've done it!

how come waifu managed to do 3 runs in SGDQ this year... surely they should be giving someone else a chance to run a game?
I think because this is the first event they're back in person, they actually don't have very many runners who came in person. So while they do have several who were able to do a run from home, every time they do is a chance for technical difficulties that are harder to fix than set ups in person. So since they have to fill the time for a week's worth of runs, I noticed this GDQ seemed to have more long runs than usual and we see the same people a lot whether they're running the game or on the couch. And even if there's runners in the audience, GDQ had runs submitted ahead of time to figure out the schedule so it's not like someone can just jump in last minute unless something big happened like a runner had to back out last minute for some reason. There might be more variety in AGDQ now that they've had this one as a test run for safety and management.
It was a shame to hear 343 took out the most enjoyable parts of their campaign. Glad to learn it can be downpatched for speedruns though, very fun to watch the run

Such a potentially great game! The campaign was a fun time I guess but it really leaves a lot to be desired for what was supposed to be a real moder realization of the old Bungie Halos.
Cortana dying off camera really sucks. Story so important should only progress in games.
She died in Halo 4. You didnt need to see it again. Her recorded message to Chief is all that was needed for the narrative.
Yeah but they really wrote themselves into a corner with halo 4. They should have just officially killed her off then, they set it up to happen and just couldn't make themselves pull the trigger

any/all can be used by people who don't mind being called any of the available pronouns for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to being genderfluid, or non conforming. There is no mockery of pronouns present here.
