    This is quite informative and brave while at it. I concur that Intersex should not be bundled together with the other LGBTQ grouping because while the former is a misnoma of genetics, the latter is a matter of choice. What a wonderful soul (and at this young age) removing ignorance from many of us. May God bless you Monica

    • @petermugambi9122
      @petermugambi9122 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wrong, if people can be born without the appropriate genitalia because of dysfunctional genetics (hardware), it follows that the same genetics can interfere with an individual sexuality mentally (software). All living things are afflicted with all manner of deformities but the sexual one is the most sensitive. Education is the only way to end the stigma of the LGBTQ people including the intersex, they're all creation of God, in his image.

    I was with her until the question of whether Intersex should be included in LGBTQIA. She entitled to her opinion, but I wonder why she thinks sexual orientation is any more of a choice than being intersex. In many people's minds, being gay is reduced to sexual behavior. You're gay if you have sex with person of the same gender. However, if I choose NEVER to have intimate sex or contact with ANYONE, doesn't make me any less gay, or heterosexual or any orientation I might be. Just because I get married and have biological children doesn't make me any less gay if I'm harboring homosexual feelings and desires. I wonder if she knows that women who have been shown to have been born with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia have a higher probability as identifying as gay.

    Thank you for this great conversation. Kudos to Monica for her strength of character.
    There should be a part two of this conversation. Looking at her, I can not see any physical difference. She looks and feels a lady. T
    There are others who develop physically as a female, but their sex organ developed as a penis-like. This is a dilemma. I saw a documentary done by the BBC where the physicians decided to make an intersex a male from infancy and at puberty they learnt they made they wrong decision because she started developing as a female. Another instance, a lady that was born an intersex, developed as a woman but can use her clitoris as a pennis while still having a vagina.
    We should learn to accept people for who they are and not be too critical.
    There are too many mysteries in the world. Just love and treat everyone like you would like to be treated. I know it's not that easy, but it's a good place to start and build upon.
    Thank you!
