Not gonna lie, I didn't expect mama's dps to be *that* impactful. I thought it would just tickle four enemy units now, but it looks really impressive against the "soft" Zerg without innate armour. Curious how the eventual decision about the abduct immunity is going to be, and if the "vipers can yoink the mothership, but only half the distance" suggestion will be tried out.
To me, it makes more sense to make abduct stackable on massive units and that the distance it is pulled is relative to the amount of combined abducts used. That way, Zerg has to commit their vipers en-masse, making them exposed to feedbacks and storm. Not an insta delete button when a single abduct is pulled off (or up to two if this change was implemented). This makes it risky, which it should be, as that is the most expensive unit in the game. It also brings the ability into cognitive congruence as it's frankly, absurd, to think a single biological tongue could pull a floating Protoss city.
Against unupgraded hydras, a Mamaship has about the same dps as 9 +0 stalkers. Against unupgraded corruptors, a Mamaship has about the same dps as 4 +2 stalkers. Against +2 armor hydras or +1 armor queens, a mamaship has about the same dps as 6 +2 stalkers. So if you ignore the fleet beacon cost, a mamaship is more cost efficient than stalkers at doing damage against zerg units that shoot up except corruptors.

Unlike a pack wolf, the Amarok is a solitary predator and is said to devour anyone foolish enough to venture into the wilderness alone. 2. Abarimon (Medieval Mythology) A humanoid creature with backward-facing feet, allowing it to move incredibly fast in any direction. They are said to inhabit a hidden valley where the air is toxic to outsiders but life-sustaining for them. 3. Yara-Ma-Yha-Who (Aboriginal Mythology) A small, red-skinned humanoid creature with a frog-like mouth that lives in fig trees. Often depicted as part-man, part-bat, it guards the entrances to the afterlife and is associated with blood sacrifices.
Just for the balance discussion in the comments: I think even before the mothership changes this was probably a lost game for Rogue, the all-in just didn't hit hard enough. If it wasn't mamaship it would have been another answer protoss has.
I think TvP is still relatively balanced, fewer Ghosts better fo Z, though Clone buffs still unknown, EMP still pretty broken against P, as it affects every unit. I prioritize shields early when offracing, before Ghost, catch up on armor in midgame.
@@malekiththeeternityking5433 Bane into Infestor is the best counter for support units, allows AA to kill Medi's a little better, everything taste better with fung! Fung from burrow was OP, but the damage point for fung after popping from burrow was prohibitive, last time I played.
Mama should trade the increased laser damage for even more defense. It's really weird to use it as a vanguard instead of support and have it pretty much always go down.
How was Goblin not maxed at the end while floating ~2k minerals and ~2.5k gas? Toss looking and feeling more and more broken. Or maybe Rogue is just falling off hard? They both made plenty of mistakes, Rogue losing 3 drones to oracles early, Goblin constantly getting his stalkers and army in general out positioned without blink available. Just felt imbalanced watching it.
3:15 - Cerberus commonly has the soft C sound (like Ser) in English by various forms of linguistic drift in imported Latin words, though a hard C is also find as its a latinized form of the Greek Kérberos, which is obviously a hard C (K) sound.
Yeah, the problem with a lot of our Latinized Greek words is that they were originally pronounced very much like the Greek word, but since languages influenced by Latin (romance languages and English) changed so much over time those Greek words lost their pronunciation.
It was so blatantly obvious to tell just by reading the patch notes that the mothership will be quite useful. Don't know why anyone who's not biased would be surprised at all.
Zerg lacks an aerial sniper(not subject to EMP or Feedback and no crap delay like corrosive bile). 6 or less range is crap, ideally 9+ range is needed to shoot over the stalker-and-friends just to reach mothership with minimized risk of being surrounded. Doubt something like this will come anytime soon though and zerg will have to find other ways to compensate in the meantime
Croatian Crustacean is somehow almost pejorative enough to work....
If he has kids with a japanese wife they'd be croatian crustasians

Would be funny if they have them yoink towards each other if they go for half range, would at least make the busted abduct not be THAT busted.
Abduct immunity needs to be extended to more units, not immediately watered down. Stop this half measure stuff when it comes to protoss changes

For anyone who's curious, the Greek would be pronounced "Kehrbehros" (the "o" there having the same value as the oh in "moss")
Goblins are actually pretty popular! It just happens to be in... certain communities.
my favorite mythical creature is the wolpertinger.
I read 'Snare'... and I think I like the idea of slowing the dozens of units this thing shoots by at least 50% a lot more than just 'scaring' them.

I was literally in the middle of typing "Croatian Kraken when you said it. Damnit.
I love how everytime they buff Toss it doesn't make Toss better vs Terran but more difficult for Zerg to do well
Terran should be nerfed, no buffs are needed to protoss and zerg. Stim marines, liberators and vikings are op
@ctpajil Just shut up.
@ctpajil "Stim OP" the only ability that kills 20% of your own units

Named Rogue
I think my favourite mythical creature is Aphrodite
the Japanese pronunciation Keroberus is actually closer to the original Greek i think
When they put the Daddyship in?
Croatian Chimera? Has that mystery...

My favorite non-mythical creature - ginger hypocriffte.
good and without a counter as zerg, as if protoss needed help vs zerg in the late game
What? Goblin is Croatian? Gotta check him out
Croation Raven
it is it gets lots of kills.
why no hydra dash
Because its fking useless. The reduced movement speed on creep is the only relevant change.
They said hydras need buff and nerfed them instead.
More florencio pls
Croatian Cronenberg
Croatian Crocodile
Maybe too good?
croatian sensation
Mothership is fcking OP. Protoss death ball was already impossible to deal with for Zerg.
yup and hydras just suck man....like wtf are we supposed to do? We're forced to go useless corrupters
