In arithmetic shift left. The last bit we fill will be depending on which complement it is. Like if it is 1's complement last bit will be sign bit.. if it is 2's complement last bit will be 0?
My Goodness bro your videos are so good bro, being a student of computer science, I am already getting help from your videos in 3/6 of my current semester courses. God Bless you!
I just want to say you thank you.. Thank you Bhaiya so very much.. Do not know will my comment be noticed by you or not but I am really very thankful for these videos.. I always watch full advertisement videos whether it is of 30sec or 5mins because it is the only way to appreciate your hard work.. please never stop this hard work as well as good work.. thousands of millions of students are benefited for your videos.. thank you again😊😊😊😊
Thank you for your efforts I have one Question : You said We perform Arithmetic Shifts to perform Operations on Signed Data so In right Shift We keep MSB same so Why dont we keep MSB same in Arithmatic Left Shift ? at 7:09 you changed MSB of number
I searched for almost every topic on your channel. I Know you explain well. So, any course on your channel is easy to understand. Gate Smashers is my favorite channel. You are my favorite teacher.
Can anyone tell me, if arithmetic shift right is taken care of sign then why arithmetic shift left is not. Will doing it normally like previous one not change it's sign? At 7:02 that first 1 is not representing negative now ?
Actually the convention is that, when we perform arithmetic left shift and MSB bit is 1 then , trap will be generated and we can't shift. But if MSB is 0 then it will work just like normal shift. In short arithmetic left shift is safer incase of signed values.
Ek ek que aya dimag m agar logical shift right mai odd value ho skti h agar haa toh uski ky functioning hogi. ( I don’t know its a logical que or not but mere mind m aaya)
I know certain teachers who would take 1 hour to complete this whole thing. I don't know how they take that much time whereas you are doing it in less than 14 mins.

arithmetic left shift agar logical left shift ki tarah hai to usme sign change ho rahi hai , aur arithmetic shift me to sign change nai hota

Always awesome. Thanku sir
according to book the arithmatic shift is shown as logic shift , and logic shift is shown as arithmetic in my book ,????
Thanks Sir
Write some code to multiply the value of BX by 4 using shift instructions. Assume that there is no overflow.

Awesome sir! I wanted to ask a question that is, How overflow occurs in microoperations?
If you have 3 bits and it's a signed number +3, then if you add 1 to it, it will become -4 which is the case of overflow.

good jobb sirr
