Love this channel , it's like reliving my past! We did all of this 25 years ago and I'm glad someone is teaching this . It's what the foxbody needs to stay on the road and get youth into the hobby .

I have a 91 LX Calypso, love it. You can make a paint booth out of plastic and some fans. Wet the floor down and paint away. Just an idea and I know it works.

I’m so glad you are using a stock cobra color. I love black but I think Calypso is my favorite cobra color
This wasn't a cobra color, but it really complements Teal Blue which was on the Cobra.

Before you reinstall the cowl grill, cement some old door screen to the underside. I've used rtv, c-a glue, or epoxy to attach screen and rtv is lees messy!

Foxes and Zimas, it's the 90s again. I've seen people put a plexi cover between the the cowl and the cowl vent to keep stuff out.

Nice! You need a gal of paint unless you’ll be painting trunk jambs and door jambs, then you’ll need a gal and a qt

@@BREW2LFOXBODY true that! Love some thinner.. just painted a civic Saturday had one 4in piece of tape fail me on back window and the whole damn whole window had overspray!! I took a blade to it, should used lacquer tho :-) congrats btw on the pro lite I want one BADDDD

Haha, I haven't had a zima since high school. Engine bay looks great. I hope you didn't wait too long to clear coat tho. From my experience, if you let the base cure too long, you lose the chemical adheasion and the clear will delaminate easier. Do you use activator in your base?

Side note for your spraying. remove the regulator from your tank. Attach an inline regulator a the base of your gun( to the line, not the gun). But keep your moisture filters close to the tank.

Hey this is probably going out of your way but I really need the Info. When my cowl was smashed I had to remove the entire wiper assembly to fix it and that was over a year ago. I had had a few Buds that's night and have no idea how it goes back together. Never minded it but I'm selling the car now to finish my 82 Futura. Hate to do it but I'll have another one day.
I have no way to show it at the moment, but I’ll be putting mine back together soon.
I'm with you on the budget thing. Save where u can BUT sometimes you just got to go ahead and spend the money catchup has to be Hines shit paper has to be name brand and tools need to be name brand. Theres a reason name brand tools have a warranty bc they are made better. Somethings u just get what you pay for.

Is that a eBay gti pro lite or a real one? What did you pay for the paint gun? Asking because I’m getting ready to paint my 93 lx cobra body conversion with either the original maroon/red metallic or just a solid grey to be a little different. Also what brand of paint do you spray on your foxbodys?
It’s the real deal, same gun from the UK that Gunman uses. I paid 4 something for it. I use Nason 498 clear and Nason base coat.
Calypso green is awesome! Where do you get your paint supply’s? I went to ford and they couldn’t get any touch up paint for me.
I buy mine from Kens here locally
Probably have to do the same find a paint place near me. The ford dealer wasn’t much help lol
