@@aethy1x406 drake just tries to get an album out every year instead of actually perfecting his albums. kendrick wins album of the year almost every time he drops an album. so tell me how drake has better albums💀
This Album cemented Drake as THAT GUY in the game. The first one was a bit shaky but this album showed that he was here to stay, and stay at the top at that.
It introduced a lot of people (at least me and my friends at the time) to Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd and also exposed some kids to the great Andre 3000.
It had one of the most influential songs of the 2010s in Marvin's Room. And probably the most honest and vulnerable Drake song ever in "Look What You've Done" (there is an argument 'March 14' as well)
The idea that a rapper can sing & be accepted. Thats what this album did. Kanye & Bone Thugs did it to a certain degree, but noone was doing ballads like this
His reaction to Marvin Room killed me 🤣 the fact that song means so much to us and he wasn't feeling it at all, made me laugh so hard. I felt roast 🤣🤣🤣❤️
After watching your dad’s reaction to Marvin’s room I can tell he relates to a lot to that song, and joking about it to not show too much emotion. Love watching you two react to it
Take care will forever be in my top 3 drake albums of all time. And its timeless too , i was 14/15 when the album came out , now im 26 and alot of these songs i can definitely relate too personally . Drake is forever the Goat .

The name tune was given to Wayne by his grandmother Mercedes Carter when he was young and then he said he added chi at the end because it made it more catchy like Gucci so that’s how tunechi was made
Marvin’s Room is very powerful for me as i was in such a similar position at the time when it came out and drake was saying most of the things i wanted to say but didnt, bc i didnt want to be that guy. For me, its more powerful than funny but I definitely get that reaction just bc of the delivery

Your dad listening to THE WEEKND would be nice. Especially if you describe hes like a darker hurt version of michael jackson especially the voice. That was what sold me on WEEKND when he first came out and also my dad
Weekend and drake aren't cool anymore lol. So that aint gonna happen. If they do patch things and he makes a take care pt 2. That needs to be his final album. Past albums he has been making have been ehh

Let’s go!!!! I had commented on your last video about reacting to this album. Very excited to see what your dad thinks of it. Have a great day both of you!
this is my fav drake album! ooh the memories! 🤯loved your dad reaction as always! keep it up brother! P.S. you should show your dad "house of balloons" from the weekend. its before all the fame and he sounds really great!
this album takes me back to college for sure, also little side note Drake's dad Dennis Graham used to be a drummer in a jazz/funk band forgot which one but he was a jazz musician so he did his fair share of touring in his day.
Woah woah, I can't let the Drake take care writing disrespect start, the Weeknd was involved on 4 songs, the 2 he featured on, and 2 songs, Drake and the weeknd CO-wrote on. There's like 20 songs on the album. Drake said so himself,.on an IG comment
The Weeknd only made 5 of these songs. The were fantastic, but I don’t think it’s fair to say he made most of the songs. He got writing and production credits on 5 songs and was featured on 2 of them. Kudos to him for his contribution to the album
Saying he "made" them also isn't the right term to use. He co-wrote them, yes he came up with the initial form of the songs but without Drake those tracks wouldn't be the same as the final product. That's why it was a collaborative work. The same way Drake came up with "I'm Single" by Wayne, then gave him the song with the hook and first verse and Wayne added two more verses and finished the song. "Crew Love" and "The Ride" would not have Drake's verses. I'm sure Drake must've done some minor changes to "Shot for Me" and "Practice" as well, including the rapping bit of course. The other one is "Good Ones Go" but The Weeknd just did the background vocals, it wasn't his song.
Another thing to note is that The Weeknd gave him Shot for Me, Crew Love, and one other song I can't think of. He ALMOST became somewhat of a ghostwriter for Drake had he not chosen to take his own path.
Yes but he only co-wrote those songs. He didn't write it all, certainly not Drake's rap bit. And in Crew Love, which is the song that introduced him to a lot of listeners, he was featured and singing the part he wrote. The other song is The Ride. This is nothing new in the music industry, Drake also gave "Un-Thinkable" to Alicia Keys, "Fall For Your Type" to Jammie Foxx, "I'm Single" to Wayne and "Heated" to Beyonce I know that your objective is simply to inform but I'm just pointing this out because a lot of people who do not understand how the music business and the creative process of artists works, often think that Drake is the only one to do this and sometimes try to discredit him and credit The Weeknd for the entire Album. Which is silly because The Weeknd co-wrote 4\5 songs out of 20 only and also more than half of the album is rap.
@@kikoferras7369 Definitely not trying to take anything away from Drake but I do think it's important to remember what had happened to PnD. I didn't really listen to him but ask anyone who did and they'll tell you that he had a lot of potential, had he not signed to OVO, who knows where he would've ended up. It is just fun trivia to bring up whenever someone reacts to this because I'm a huge fan of The Weeknd's older work from around this time and it's just one of those butterfly effect moments where had he made the choice to sign with Drake, he might've ended up the same way. But yeah, giving songs to people isn't something that he invented or anything lol. And like I was saying, it definitely doesn't take away from Drake as an artist or discredit his early work. I couldn't imagine what The Weeknd would've did with The Ride, I can kinda see him putting something together with Shot For Me, and I do wish he had kept Crew Love for himself. But all in all, Drake made all of those songs his own in the end.
