I wasn’t going to get him due to a lot of negative reviews I’d been seeing. But the wife really wanted him so I had to order one. Great vid and thank you for these tips and suggestions! Have a Happy Halloween
Mine didn’t have a hole in the hand to hold the reins… I just wrapped them around his hand for now. Also feel like the angle of the head is off… it faces downward… which I suppose is good for young kids standing directly underneath it, but for the average 5-6ft person who’s standing roughly 5 ft away, it’s difficult to see.
Just curious how accessible are the eyes from inside the skull when had apart took it apart? Was there a lot of free space in his skull? One has been shipped and It is as a gift but won’t be here untill November and I really want to put the 12ft Skelly eye upgrade kit in this skull so it has animated moving eyes if it’s possible.
It’s been awhile since I worked on the skull, but I do vaguely remember that once the bottom jaw, and its motor is removed, the eyes are accessible. I just know if it will be easy getting your hand in there to work on them.
@@SplatterShop if I am ever successful at installing them I will, I have already installed a set into a gigantic older 80’s foam pumpkin for outsideI that looks pretty interesting and funny.
@@will2dmax1I don’t think they soldered, or glued the wire on. The other wire was definitely glued on. It was probably making a connection at first, but with minimal movement, it slid out of place.
When the knight moves his arm very so often I hear a clicking noise in the motor. Does anyone else have this issue? Just wondering if this could be a potential problem later with stripped gears.
@@jerryhatfield7650 Never had that issue with mine, but I have heard of a few that ran into that problem. Here is SVI’s support page: support.sviservice.com/hc/en-us/requests/new Ask them for a part replacement.

Once I fixed the skull, it was all good. He is a bit of a pain to put together the first time, but once he’s up, he’s pretty amazing.

If you manage, and it works, please share the video link here. I’d like to see what you came up with.

So why did the wire come off to begin with, or wasn't it on from the start.
