Very nice. People should know to wipe away any excess glue squeeze out with a damp rag and make sure the glue is dry. Don’t want to glue the French cleats together.
Love this idea and want to do it!! One question, now that you’ve had your pegboard for what looks like about a year now, are you finding that the pegs rub the wall?? Wondering if I should throw a sheet of MDF against the wall to protect it or not??
That turned out very, very well. Is information available anywhere about weight limits? I make jewelry, and some of those beads and the equipment for working with the metals gets hefty.
I would have no idea how to calculate a weight limit besides just visually looking at the wood and shelves to see if it's too much. Based on rule of leverage however, a less deep shelve would be able to hold more weight.
@@MakingManzanita apparently, the Google consensus on a standard pegboard (properly installed) is 100 pounds. No dimensions given, and seems generic. I'm with you on watching the wood!
Although my husband and I work together on our DIYs, this project is totally do-able for a woman (or man) to build by themselves! You'll just need a friend to manuever the large sheets of 4'x8' plywood because they are a bit large for one person to pick up.
The French pleat is genius. 👌🏽😁
Thanks, it is such an easy solution for hanging heavy items like this!

Great point, thanks for chiming in!
I’ve finally got my custom pegboards! Now I wanna see how to pain them.
Good luck!
This is just beautiful, it’s given me so much inspiration, Im definitely going to give it a bash 😉
Awesome :)
I love this, definitely trying this out
Let us know how it goes!
🤩 amazing
Thanks!
This was brilliant! How has it held up?
Looks good as new, two years later. So happy we did this project!!
Hi . . . where did you get the drill guide? I've looked on Home Depot and they don't have anything like that.
Thanks!
You can get it on Amazon. Here's the link: amzn.to/3Q7OEJt

No, because we built the french cleat system to hang it - the actual pegboard its off of the wall so no need to worry about the pegs rubbing the wall.
@@MakingManzanita wonderful!! Thanks so much!

This looks fab!! 😍👍🏾 You know the furring strips you used how thick were they?
They were 1x2s I believe so that's 3/4" x 1 1/2".
@@MakingManzanita ahh perfect thanks! Hoping to give this a go but we'll see...thanks so much for the vid helped a lot ✌🏾
is the Blue green paint colour - the same as the wall colour?
No the color on the walls is Behr Midnight in NYC and the color in the semi circle is Behr Meteorological
A woman can build the world with the help of a man and his power tools. Unfortunately I have no menz😂
