I could be wrong but I think those things that you are calling "harnesses" are actually just "electrical connectors." My understanding is that a "harness" refers to a large number of wires, a set of wires, that are fastened together mechanically, with tape, and wire ties, and having appropriate electrical connectors pre-installed on the wire ends, so as to make placing them in the vehicle, routing them, and hooking them up, easier.

Hello, do you need to disconnect the battery/power supply before doing this? I have seen other people not able to start the car after reinstalling if they didn’t disconnect the battery, some sort of anti theft thing?

Do I need to unscrew the door handle to be able to remove the panel? On my passenger door I cant get to one of the screws behind the handle because its glued together.

1A Auto Parts I finally replaced both panels, but now I've got another problem. My doors won't open when I pull the handle and my alarm randomly went off a few minutes ago. The cars is also humming loudly and idles. Any ideas what would cause this? I didn't think changing something like this would cause more issues.
