That's a big mower for that tractor and engine I just bought a bush-whacker hd-72 6ft for my 5055 jd have fun watch out for rocks not fun hitting them with ur brand new cutter
It is huge. Was told it would handle it but I would not go any smaller of a tractor that's for sure. I hope it works out long term. Yep, I have found the rocks already. LOL. not fun at all.
@@TheLovelyPlacehow are you liking the set-up? Does the tractor handle the cutter well? Any issues with power? What type of material are you cutting? I have a Mahindra 6075 and I'm debating between a 12ft or 15ft cutter. Thanks
@@MrGoodtime1301 sorry I never saw your comment/question. I hope things worked out for you. I have no major complaints about how it pulls the 15’ batwing.
Nice cutter I have a landpride 15ft they are a pain on first setup, dealer I bought mine everyone was clueless almost on it. So I took it home and did it all myself the leveling took longer to find a level spot, then I discovered I can just count the treads on wing levelers each thread was an inch.
You have to get an adapter to connect the two wing hydraulic hoses together . The hydraulic lines to raise and lower will go in the bottom two fittings. The wings don’t have down pressure they go down by gravity, so if your up hill on one side the wing won’t go down until you are on level ground oor down hill on that side. Put the wing hydraulic in top fitting and when you are in tractor you can move lever all the way forward and it will lock lever in place and the wings will float with ground terrain. I have the same mower and it works great. Same tractor too but mine is blue.
LOL I sure hope so cause I am what you call committed now. I was told it required a 50 hp minimum but I would not go below what I have here which is a 68 hp at the PTO, 74 hp engine.
Whatch it on hills that thing could push you that's a heavy cutter for the weight of the tractor if ur ever on any hills it will suck ur power down and could start pushing u becarefull have fun
Thanks so much for the advise. You are so correct! I wish I had zip tied them together the moment I got the tractor. Check out this link and you will unfortunately see what happened. Live and Learn! th-cam.com/video/367qKYUArBk/w-d-xo.html
You don’t have to cut the tractor off to work the hydraulic lines to make sure the hydraulic fluid has been dumped. You can do that with the tractor running.
@@chrisfinney1905 I think someone told him, hey drive this truck and deliver this equipment. I feel this man really tried his best for sure. It came down to the business not providing the properly trained employee to do what should have been done. It would have been nice if they had delivered on their promise. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. A dealer issue. Luckily I deal with a different dealer now that is closer to me.
@TheLovelyPlace That's good to hear. I noticed after I left my comment that this video is 2 years old...lol But it just popped up in my feed. So what part of the country are you in? I'm down near Houston and Galveston Texas.

No worries, I came across a good deal on a used 15ft so that's what I have, so far I haven't been disappointed, it does what I need it to do well

Lol, sounds like we had a similar experience.

That's awesome man! I appreciate the info. I need to do that very badly. Great advice!
sure that tractor is big enough for that massive topper

Lower shredder and wing wheels will go in towards center.
Hey! On the left side of the hose tree gives some valuable info.
Thanks!
That pto shaft will make quick work of those hydraulic lines if you don't secure them away from it.

@@TheLovelyPlace I can do that. I am a farmer and an agriculture teacher. Have a TH-cam channel as well.
first thing u need to do is lower the front bucket never keep up in the air
You're delivery guy wasn't very knowledgeable about the equipment he delivered!
