My screen will switch to landscape mode sometimes, i have been restarting the device to get back to orientation mode, what keys am i hitting to do this and what keys do i need to hit to get back?

Without knowing exactly how you have your device configured, it sounds like you might have Auto-rotate enabled. You can check this by swiping down at the top of the screen to get the notifications, then swipe again for quick settings. You can then toggle Auto-rotate to its off state.
It's also possible that you have app(s) installed that default to landscape orientation. If that's the case then you would need to double check the settings within the app itself.
