I am in this video, the boy in the black shirt. It isnt that we havent yet been exposed to the biased opinions of our educators and educational material. We have been part of the corrupting system for the past 16 years of our lives and the fact that we have and still are standing up against it is what differentiates us. This is mostly due to the environment we are in and the fact that we have the opportunity to be exposed to this kind of material.

As a Palestinian it is very touching when Israelis see this conflict for what it really is, and this is when real change will begin to happen when people realize the truth and reality about Israels occupation. Of course we need changing attitudes on the Palestinian side also but that will never happen until the Palestinians have hope in order to free their minds of a hatred of Israel which is manifested through the daily oppression of the Palestinians. We need peace before it is too late.

Great job Davidi. We thank you. Is there a similar style film documenting what the US is doing in the Middle East? It was so inspiring listening to the Israeli youths after they watched the film. It would be great to touch the American youths in a similar way. We are far too ignorant.

absolutely fucking beautiful. In my opinion, this is one of the most important documentaries of our time. it does not set out to argue one political ideology against another. Or religious ideology against another. it does more than that: it points directly to the heart; to one's conscience. all humanity has a conscience regardless of religous beliefs. if one is honest and true to it, can hear it and let it resonate their being, all are welcome to the kingdom of hapiness (and i'm an athiest; to some degree). The heart is mightier than the pen, the sword, the gun, the rock, the gas canister, politician or military man. At times it's easy to feel like the heart has been betrayed, that all is lost; so easy it is to be consumed with darkness and filled with violence. This is the path of everyone's life, and through listening to one's heart; there is a way to the light.

"What am I supposed to do after watching this film, or in general to change this reality?" "I felt I want to change but now what should I do?" Great questions that I myself would like answered....... NOW WHAT?

These kids give me hope for the future. Hard not to feel this way about your country when the curtain gets pulled back and the brutality and manipulation becomes explicit. I have the same problem. Being an American and having learned to read between some lines (not all the lines for sure...I'm far from perfectly informed, or even well informed for that matter) with the help of some "subversive" authors, I have been changed permanently by it. Suffice to say, I don't sing patriotic songs anymore.

The reaction of these young Israelis to the documentary "Five Broken Cameras" gives me a glimmer of hope that one day there could be peace between Israelis and Palestinians

After a 2-week waiting list at the library, I saw your powerful heartbreaking film. Mr. Davidi you must have been raised by special loving parents, as you didn't buy in to the government's Hate and Fear propaganda. Mazel tov! It's easier to give in to darker impulses when you're the ruling elite. Mr. Burnat, continue filming your beautiful children. Sorry you received bad reception at the Los Angeles Airport. I assure you most of us in LA are civilized. Peace to both of you & families.

The Israelis do not know what is going on, in the same way the Germans didn't know what transpired in the 1940's.
When the truth comes out, it will be interesting to see the transformation of the Israelis. Will they change their viewpoint, or will they become even more defensive of what their government has done?

Thank you Guy. And thank you Israelis and Arabs working together on exposing injustice on all sides. You gave me hope to think that with such cooperative politically active efforts, we can struggle together to achieve peace through justice and equality between humans. PLEASE, WE NEED YOU in Berlin ... screening the film in GERMANY is as challenging as it is in Israel....please come to Berlin, and present the film and screen it. Thank you

and d) US army and police have a right to be in the streets of the US. What right do these European occupiers have to be in the streets of Palestinian villages? If Palestinians want to protest, they should be allowed to do so.

This film was also made possible by America’s collusion in Israel’s military occupation of Palestine. Because of two Anarchists Against the Wall I was inspired to visit Bil’in after attending their Power-Point program in Gainesville, Florida on November 14, 2005.
I returned 4 times and wrote about it in, "America’s Part in '5 Broken Cameras'"

As an Israeli teenager, it also changed the way I think about this war. I think that the best solution is to both educate Israelis zionist pride and to teach how important the military is. And the second part is to also educate about what happens in Gaza, show our war crimes and theirs, to make us more moral and educated. The Israeli mind is very open minded I can tell you that, this movie must be shown in our entire country.
Movies like these remind us our values and humanity. Thank you Guy!.

there is a non-violence movement, on the Nakba of 2011 for example they held a non-violent march, they organised seminars to educate protesters in strategies of non-violent resistance. You are right that rock throwing is more common than non-violence (that said under the circumstances rock throwing is minor) however things will not change quickly, but it is untrue to say there is not an increasing effort towards non-violence

It is true that The police would act on those actions of violence, But tell me if someone came and tore down your house, took away your land without giving you warning or even paying you money for the loss, and basically made you a refugee. Would you or would you not try to fight back and stop it from happening again to others. Another thing, stones vs bullets it is obvious who has the upper hand.

What about keeping usury & politics out of all of our lives? Politicians seldom represent the people - The system of usury eventually over-rides and controls all for a few.
Freedom to believe what we want and to act how we please like is essential providing it does not harm others - that includes religion. There will always agent provocateurs / 'extremists' willing to undermine that freedom for selfish ends or the benefit of sponsors.
I say keep usurers and puppet politicians out of freedom.

All very life heartening especially the comments from the students.Anyway let's get back to reality shall we? Israel is still a highly controversial country and one which will exist only by force or at least the threat of force to its hostile regional neighbours.Look at the (disaster) that is the Arab spring is surely evidence enough that the region is far from "normal" in fact I've come to the conclusion that most of these countries NEED to be ruled by dictatorships in order to function.

Be aware that if you lived in the U.S. doing these sorts of things (i.e. throwing rocks and starting physically violent or angry protests) the U.S. soldiers (and the police and sheriff's dept.) would not put up with it and could and sometimes will not only arrest people who they think are involved, but they can be shot, tear gassed...etc. costs just as freedom does. Your opinion matters, but not to the point of violence or teaching children violence. G-d Bless Israel and you.

There is no one in America who is under occupation, and there is no fight for land. The American citizens at least have the right to bear arms so they have the right to overcome oppression by the government if it reaches that point.
    Your point is fairly horrid.

    ISRAEL'S LAND -- CASE CLOSED!
The land belongs to the Jewish people. When two parties to a dispute come to court to settle their difference, the first words the judge utters are, "let's start from the beginning," and "present any evidence(s) you have."
The earliest mention of the Holy Land as Palestine (probably in reference to the Philistines, a non-Arabic, non-Semitic people from the Greek Isles who invaded the southern coast of the Holy Land in the 2nd half of the 12th Cen. BCE) is by the Greek historian, Herodotus (5th Cen. BCE).
In contrast, one of the earliest mention of the Holy Land as Israel is the 9th Cen. BCE archaeological find the Mesha Stele commissioned by the king of Moab (present-day Jordan) which mentions Israel and a king of Israel, namely, Omri. (The Mesha Stele aka Moabite Stone is housed at The Louvre in Paris, France.)
The claim that the land belongs to the "Palestinians" should be reflected in the archaeological records. Can someone cite one archaeological evidence for the "Palestinians?"
