Guys how come you didnt know these exercises if you are dancers? Like these and a lot of other exercises is the basic stretching before a dance lesson.(sorry for my bad english)
I started dance last year and I was 15 so even though I’m in class with girls younger than me, i work so hard to improve and I have so much since I started. These videos help me out a TON so thank you
B o b b i e M a r k e e im the same as emmy except i started last year at 14 like you’re going to! what helped me is finding a leg/full body stretching routine for yourself. you should stick to a routine religiously if you want to see results in flexibility! there are plenty of videos on yt that you can follow, like the one’s from alivia d’andrea’s channel. start slowly + know your limits tho, and don’t overstretch bc even just pulling a muscle will affect your performance or roadblock ur progress. also, it’s very helpful to generally know/memorize names of ballet steps. i was a bit lost during my first few classes since i wasn’t familiar with the terms being used, but you learn along the way. have fun and have confidence in yourself!! practice regularly and be consistent!
Thank you so much for these advices, they're really helpful. I'm 28, and I'm still working in getting my splits, my goal is achieving it before turning 30, I've seen progress but there's still a long path to follow. For anyone out there who's also working for this, try checking the way you breath, and try to relax, these two things are a game changer in flexibility.
I have only been dancing for a year! I’m self taught and have never took a dance class in my life. I tried out for the dance team and I made it! Now I can do second turns like it’s nothing! I’ve improved a lot thanks to Miss Auti!!
I wish I found you sooner, everything you said not to do, I notice a lot of my dance teammates doing, thank you so much for creating this video, hopefully I will see improvements soon :))
I love these videos so much!! I quit ballet, gymnastics, and tap in third grade, but after getting into musical theater I realized I need to up my dance skills and these videos are amazing for semi-beginners like me 😄
I started out only JUST being able to get my leg to a ninety degree angle. I was literally as flexible as a board. Now I can get my leg so much higher. Thank you soo much. You explained everything so well.
Earlier I had a very stiff body..I started workout.. dance aerobics..yoga..4 years passed..I m 46 now..In my class all r younger than me..I do all the stretches perfectly..rather than others...✌️I always love to watch such type of videos..it gives me a lot of energy to boost myself..Thanks a lot..
Oh come onn!! First of all , she already has a boyfriend Secondly, they are best friends!! It's possible that she is a bright person that's why she laughs at everything
Paakhi M Oh! I didn’t know she already had a boyfriend and yeah that’s totally plausible! It’s just what it seemed like when I watched it. I didn’t mean to offend anyone. It just seemed that way 😁
Omg thank you so much for making this video after a back injury lifting my leg past 100° would hurt that injury but I was able to get my leg at least 160° without any pain and this made me tear up!!!!
I'll keep coming back to this until I can do what Ms Auti is doing in 6 months. I can barely hold my thigh right now but I will work my way there slowly.
First video I've found of yours and omg where have you been! You have helped me so much from your factual information and hopefully I can apply your tips for strengthening and stretching! Love it!
Ok so i'm french and dancing since 11years now but i never knew that you guys use the french words as well for a lot names so hum, that's all,i'm just kinda shooketh
Hi Miss Auti, can you please do a tutorial on Piroutte just for ballet again? The video that had on in your channel is a bit annoying because there were too much interruptions plus you had the jazz piroutte combined with it. I am hoping you would consider. Thank you so very much for being such a wonderful teacher.
That's your goal. It's hard, but you just got to keep pushing your knee back and if you can't push it locked while keeping good technique everywhere else, you need to go lower on your leg.
I was enrolled in a ballet school when i was a yuong and i stopped and i want to learn a few things like split, leg hold, ect. and this helped me sooooooooooo muuuuuucchhhhh thank you thank you thank you BTW: her how to get your split video helped me get my splits
I'm watching thus so I can help my sister do this pose in cheer when she is flying. I'm watching it because I wanna learn it to. I was flyer last year but I'm a base now, so maybe in high school ( 1 and a half years) I will be a flyer again
Nice Miss and Mr. Yea to me, it's about having strength inside of flexibility. These two elements of the body go hand in hand to create something that bodies can potentially do to the best of it's ability
It wouldn't be the same because you aren't gonna be to flexible like you can have been if you start younger but with practice everything is possible 😊 that is just my point of view
Yes you can still reach this level of flexibility, even at an older age. If you were younger, it would take less time because you're naturally more flexible at a young age but that doesn't mean it's impossible for you to be flexible even when older. It will just take more time and practice to reach this level of flexibility. :)
Thank you so much! This video has been extremely useful, I was so unaware of the particular muscles I had to work on. You got yourself a new subscriber.
I've danced pretty much my whole life and I had no idea that was how you stretch your hip flexers omg

Damn that's without stretching :0
This has been a long term goal of mine for years, I am committed to being able to do this by the end of 2021!👍
I really like doing this kind of lunge it's not hard on my achilleses which are tight like other lunges are
Nice! Lots of useful tips.
Who else is watching this during quarantine
thank you so much! i was wanting to start dancing and your videos have helped me a TON! i am trying to convince my mom to let me join a dance studio!
When you do flexible moves like this, should you have your knees locked? I see people with super straight legs but idk if their knees are locked
That's your goal. It's hard, but you just got to keep pushing your knee back and if you can't push it locked while keeping good technique everywhere else, you need to go lower on your leg.
I loved your teamwork
