I bought my father-in-law's old boat, took it to the marine dealer to get the motor tuned up.......got it on the water and couldn't get it started. For 20 years, the motor started on the first try....so it was frustrating. Took it back in, the tech had to turn the idle up. Runs great. Now to do what you guys did and upgrade the electronics, ditch the stern mount trolling motor, etc. One little tip- make sure you unplug your trolling motor when you are done fishing.....it will draw power off of your battery. That's something my father-in-law instructed me on when I took over the boat. Might help with battery life? Enjoy the new boat, love your channel. I come up from Iowa to fish someo f the same areas you guys do between SoDak, NoDak, and Ottertail County (Minnesota).
Ohhhh and I’ve guided fishing trips for 23 years ,,I can tell you every one who buys minn kota ,has them break , you should think about later on buying yourself a motoguide
Great new boat ,,I’ve drove a fifty e tech , buddy got one new ,,if you ever have engine dying out of the blue ,,,change the key start up switch first.

just want to make a comment...you probably already know, but with lithium batteries on the trolling motor be careful not to run them below 12v into low voltage zone...or you risk burning up your trolling motor. Lithiums will continue to drain as where a traditional lead acid or AGM will shut down/not turn your motor. Low voltage burns up electric motors.

My daughter and son in law live in fargo. We just added the ulterra to our 18ft klamath and are headed up that way for the last week in may and first week in June. Cant wait we'll be hunting walleye and Pike on devils lake it sounds like.

Id get rid of that triple ended extension cord. I've seen many of those burn up. In your application it won't be abused and maybe fine, the ones I've seen issues with were in construction. But I would personally never buy one. Been an electrician for 18 years...
