I've found that some women like beards while others don't. It's entirely subjective to each individuals personal tastes, just like some guys like blondes, others brunettes.
For sure
Am I a terrible person for saying that I don’t care what women think of beards?
99.9% of women wouldn’t be interested in me if I’d been dipped in chocolate and rolled in diamonds because I’m old and seen better days, but even taking that out of the equation, I still wouldn’t care and I never did.
I care how my beard makes me feel and how it looks and whether it’s soft or bushy or straight, or if an official Beard God - such as you, Mr B - took me to one side and said something like ‘hey man, your beard looks ridiculous. You should try Acme Beard Butter’ then I’d pay attention
Women only know if they like the look of beards or not, but they generally know nothing about them or how they can make a man feel.
One day, if someone ever posts a video titled ‘what do men think of panty liners with wings’, I’m hoping a woman will reply with ‘I couldn’t care less what a man thinks about panty liners with wings…’
You not I agree with you!
Great comment ! 👍🏆.
The last sentence is Gold!
You make some good points but I think you should conduct a social experiment and dip yourself in chocolate and roll around in diamonds. What a great video that would be!
I bet you’d find out you were wrong. 😂😂😂
Exactly. If a man ha an opinion on how a woman looks, he's controlling and manipulating. It's your face, do whatever the fuck you want to.
Your beard looks excellent, Greg, as always! I like your perspective on dealing with unkind comments. I don’t get them much anymore, maybe because people have gotten used to my bearded look... and I do take good care of it. A lady told me not long ago that she couldn’t figure out my age because I have a salt-and-pepper beard but good skin, too (synonymous with youth, I guess).
Your tutorials have been fantastic for my beard maintenance. Lately, I’ve been going shorter and shorter possibly working toward a full shave, mostly because I’ve just been wanting to change things up again. We’ll see. Thanks again!
Right you are.
I have a friend who also has a beard, but he does nothing with it.
Your beard is perfect and I keep maintaining mine as you do. I love trying all the different oils and balms. I try all you recommend and I haven’t been disappointed yet.
Thank you for another insightful video, God bless and have a great day brother.
Thanks man, I’m glad you appreciate these. I’m very grateful for your viewership.
Yes! I love beards! My husband has a beard and I fully encourage him to grow it. I have learned to help him trim it. I know how much time he puts into his beard, so there is a lot of work that goes into it. Heck, I use more beard oil, beard butter, and other beard products than he does on my skin! It is subjective subject and personal preference. I can 100% spot those guys that don't put the time into their beards and don't use products regularly. Interesting and great topic!!
Thank you so much! It’s always interesting to hear the female perspective.
At 65 years old/young I am 8 months into growing my first beard. I always thought I could not grow one. Boy was I wrong! Better late than never. Thanks for all your insight, wisdom and relaxing voice!
I grew my beard for me and trimmed it short for me, thanks for the video Greg 👍.
Great video! I'm so glad my wife loves my beard. She has also started confiscating some of my beard oils because she likes the smell of them.
That’s pretty cool
Greg…your beard looks great at any length. I’ve been trying to grow a beard for awhile and I keep trimming it back to stubble or completely shaving it off at about the one month mark because it seems to irritate my face even when using good beard products. I’m guessing I just need to muscle past the one month mark and try to make it to 3 months and re-evaluate my beard goals. I live in Pennsylvania and the beard makes me very hot in the summer months. I’m not sure how you manage the Florida heat and humidity with your big beard, but I admire you for sticking with it. Your channel is still my favorite on TH-cam. Thanks for producing great content!
@@wadeschreffler2161 thanks for the compliment, Wade! I feel that’s a real honor.
Oddly enough, the bigger beard doesn’t make me any hotter, I feel like. But then again, if I trimmed it shorter I might think otherwise. Florida is sweltering hot but I’ve heard Pennsylvania gets that way too.
Thank you Greg, great video!
Yeah, the filter comment is spot-on. Imagine what it would be like getting to know or living with someone who feels that comfortable making such comments to friends-of-friends or complete strangers. Yikes!
Right?!
Spot on Boss. The big beard in particular, is a red flag detector. Proven & tested.
Absolutely!
If people who you don't know are bold or ignorant enough to approach you in public and criticize you for the way you look, yes, thank your lucky stars they did. It certainly does save you time and effort to find out they are the way they are and you don't need those kind of people in your life.
@@searlearnold2867 right on
My wife is so supportive of my beard and makes it all the better but…. Not to order multiple products lol cause I would order non stop I’m definitely addicted = currently have about 40 oils and about the same butters . Great video Greg have a great rest of the week.👍
I totally get it 👍
I am a biker and take my beard grooming and overall body cleanliness seriously.
The old gray beard definitely makes a man look older even if he's in good shape. Shave the beard and look younger.
Will do
My facial hair has always received compliments from women, and typically negative feedback if I’ve shaved it.
@@josephevans2912 that’s interesting! You have a great beard, btw.
My beard went grey very early starting in my 30s. I'm still far away from being a "Senior" and I have been getting "Senior" movie tickets for years.
I pay a $1 less.
There are some perks with a grey/white beard.
No help with the ladies though but I don't care.
I just be me.
I haven’t tried that yet but I should
Great video Greg, keep up the good work!!!!
Thanks!
Who cares what women think?
I agree I don't give a fuck
Not me!
It’s not just about caring what women think. It’s about trying to gain a greater understanding of human behavior and motivations. It’s also not about abdicating autonomy and personal identity but about why men grow facial hair at different points in their life.
Maybe it’s a misstep on my part but I thought I made that clear in the video.
@@GregBoswell428 - While what women think doesn't affect me personally, it IS always interesting to find out why people do what they do and how others respond! 👍
Exactly. If a woman does not like your appearance then it's just not the right match.
It depends on the woman and it depends on the beard. Some women like long beards, some like short beards, some like mustache or goatee, and some like clean shaven men.
I’m the first in my family to have a full grown beard and a lot of female cousins and nieces (and there lots of them) say I now look the smartest of all the uncles and aunts… and my mom, who has dementia, suddenly recognizes me…
Well, that’s interesting
11:30 or so, having regrown from 3 to 6-7 inches multiple times, and one time from shaved, i think nailing simple styling practices worked better for me then focusing on trimming too much early on. Not that one shouldn't trim but i made the mistake of trying to over trim around over style around issues too much early on, trimming above my talent, when instead styling correctly, simply. and trimming as simple as possible (just around bottom of beard, or even just shearing off few repeatedly belligerent individual hairs) is a way better way to start out. Styling itself can be overdone but i'm now wondering if i ever only overdid it because my trims went so sideways i was constantly toying with my hair too much. Trying to fix my styling with my trims and vice versa repeatedly.
The bonus with not styling too much with trim itself early on is you know what your beard, or if you want to trim to style, your canvas naturally looks like, and until you see that and have a consistent styling routine (i did not, constantly changing!) i think it's way too easy to essentially get what i'd call beard-dysmorphia 😂, Bogdanoff twins but luckily its just your hair so if you step back a bit it will correct itself.
The reason I think your beard always looks good at any length is because you always have a crisp cheek line.
Great video! Awesome beard Greg!!
Thanks!
I like your beard! I have had a lot of compliments for mine (sometimes longer but mostly some degradation in it and longer at the bottom (5 cm until 8cm approx)
And when I’m fed up, I shave it and than they always say, what have you done 😂 it was so nice looking and it really suits you so well 😂
Nevertheless I think it really suits short hair and bold men in general
Awesome big beard!
@@matthewcarter1220 thanks!
It's silly that people take one aspect of a person if they find it attractive? I understand the reasoning for these types of surveys. However, the result can be a breeding ground for anxiety, especially for the person who is subject to the study or the person who can't grow this case a beard. (Does anyone remember the episode of Dexter Lab when he built the Beard-A-Tron? "Beard to be Feared")
It's incredible to think about who funds the survey; my guess is the Razer companies have seen a definite slump in sales over the last 10 years and could well be behind negative articles.
In this case, beard grooming companies?
@@paulblake1164 this study talked about all kinds of beards, not just one kind.
I'm from Bakersfield so I know some people from Fresno.
Uh oh! 😁
I grew my beard over 25 yrs ago, I was working in a welding shop and had a baby face. Made a bet with an older welder who could grow a better thicker faster. I won 😂
I shaved once in my late 30's to have a proper skin cancer check. (All clear). My wife missed it and so did I, so it's back with a vengeance 🤠
Thanks for the video cheers, beers and whiskey 🥂
@@va6gkthaskey311 I appreciate you watching and commenting! 👍
My wife said she preferred beards because she thought guys without beards tended to look baby-faced.
@@lorensims4846 I hear that a lot. My wife just says I look weird with a clean shaven face. What does she know? Pfft!
My beard is massive!
What song is this?

Great video! Are you interested in collaborating with us to review our new beard care kit?
Keep mine close to my face. Thankful to still have hair on my head. Way too many bald men with beards. Throw a rock anywhere and you’ll hit at least 3…
Just because you don’t like long beards, doesn’t make them “yuck”
@@Sdfghjk442 its my opinion… “ it’s my truth “ Oprah W.
I wouldn’t advise it though
Hey !!!!! Who threw that rock!!!!!😂😂😂
as long as my wife like it i dont care about anybody else.
I dont really care what women think of beards but i will say guys making their whole personality revolve around a beard is pretty dumb. Like i have friends who legit act like if they had to shave their beard it would be like losing an arm. Its just facial hair.
@@jlogan2228 you’re not wrong
When will men shave again?
Just did it
5-day stubble max. If you have money, then any length is acceptable.
@@alohaohana901 🤔
I'm not shaving there mostly into it
