She now faces a no confidence vote after her government finally published legal advice about pursuing an investigation into sexual harassment claims against Alex Salmond
The documents show government lawyers warned there was a real risk a court would side with Mr Salmond - which it did.
The Conservatives, who have called for the no confidence vote, say today's revelation shows Miss Sturgeon lied to the Scottish Parliament.
