I am the same really, but having to go through all the production, keyboard and guitar stuff etc because my easy skill is English lyrics and basic lyrical ideas and chords. Of course music is an endless road. Your key counsels on your site are right on the money. Don't give up and don't be impatient with yourself is a key. In the end, worldly 'success' doesn't really mean much but music makes our weights a lot lighter as we walk through this life.
