I have a veritas 8 alarm and the power light flashes sometimes . Do I need to change the battery . If I take off the from panel how do I check without the alarm going off thank you
If the Power light flashes it is because the panel isn't getting any mains in. You can take the lid off, but the alarm will go off, but can easily be silenced by entering your normal 4 digit user code.
Literally all my neighbours need to watch this. Ours doesn’t do this because we’ve changed the back up battery.

No it can’t you will need the engineering code to reset it

That could be either a fault with the panel or a bad 12V battery. Probably a battery unless the panel itself is quite old.
If you open up the end station you will need the engineering code to reset it
