Have you watched old forge creations, he uses wax resist on the bottom then he uses a car dent puller, amazingly it holds it long enough for you to dunk whatever into the glaze. It may work for you when you don't have much foot to hold I can't wait to see all you have glazed today in all it glory, thanks for sharing 😊
I often watch your videos, they are so informative and you have great ideas. I really love seeing the different colors and the way the glaze turns out, and I love that you experiment and show the results whether you like the result or not. Thank you for sharing your methods and techniques with us, it is much appreciated!! Would you mind making a video showing how to do the luster glaze that you showed at the end, if you happen to be doing it again? I love how that piece turned out. Beautiful!
Your lessons in these glazing examples have helped me overcome the experiences of many years of ceramics. Glazing has left me disappointed on some of my best pieces. You have given me new possibilities-I’m ready to take on opening the kiln with a better attitude! 🎊 🎉
Absolutely awesome video. Learned so much about technique, coloration considerations and use of creative materials. I enjoyed every single minute. Thank you.
On most of my textured pots Floating Blue works really well. And I do not think it failed on the Steve Tool texture pot - it just did not turn out as dramatic as I wanted and that I had it do before on similar dramatic textures :-)

I do use a car dent puller but only when needed and it only work for some pots - far from all :-)
Another good glaze video, I like your combo's, thanks for sharing😊
Thanks :-)
Thank you so much for demonstrating your glazing techniques.
Glad you liked it :-)
I love your tenmoku gold glaze. Really beautiful pots.:)

Wow!! How exciting!!
Thanks :-)

You are my favorite mad scientist, lol You make ceramics fun. Thank you for the video. Take care, be well
Probably more mad than scientist hehe but thanks a lot 🤣
Beautiful wares as always. Thank you for sharing with us
Thanks :-)
Thanks!
Thank you so much :-)
Failing is a learning process
Sure is :-)
Mikael, do you have the recipe for the first iron rich glaze you used? Greetings from Brazil.
You can find them all in John Britts mif-fire book. Its a great book :-)
Agree with what u said, experiment with pots u don't mind throwing out if it's a flop
I also experiment with some of the pots I like. But thats just me hehe
I was wondering if you could use a roller to apply glaze or slip?
I never tried. May not add enough but try :-)
Where do you get the Temmoku Gold?
I mix it myself - as I do with most of my glazes
I've also had poor results from Oldforge Floating Blue on craggly textured pots. I don't think it's unique to the Oldforge version, of course.
