You would have to completely swap the radio and the hub to gain that feature. If you are already equipped with this from the factory, then it would not be considered an upgrade for your vehicle. Compatibility for this particular package is 2014-2020, so that leaves room for a lot of different factory equipped configurations. Many of our clients are equipped with base model units that lack features or even 8.4" screens that lack Apple Carplay and Android auto. So for those clients lacking those features, this would be considered an upgrade.
Hello, That feature should be retained, as the pinout is the same on the CarPlay model. I do not believe you need to replace the inseat hdmi/rca ports. We've never had reports of the rear screens not working with the upgrade.

Luckily the rotary shifter knob is much easier! You can take a pry tool and work your way around the whole center console area (right at the edge of the storage cavity). It appears that it's about 5 retention clips on both sides, and the rotary knob is just connected to a harness.
