Row 1 is a knit stitch, row 2 is a purl stitch. Rows 1, 3, 5, 7 are knit stitch. Rows 2, 4, 6, 8 are purl stitch. All the rows after that are knit stitch other than the first and last 4 pegs of every row. If you don't make a border for the blanket, it will curl on every side.
What happens if I don't go the opposite way when you finish a row? I didn't realize that was part of making the blanket... I there a way to fix it or do I have to take out all my work? I've done up to the 10th row.
I'm making an Afghan blanket using a kb Afghan loom so can you please tell how many pegs should I used to make King side blanket. How many pegs should i to make a queen size blanket How many pegs should I make to make full size blanket. Can you tell how many inches and cm should I used to make King size blanket Can you tell how many inches and cm should I used to make queen size blanket. Can you tell how many inches and cm should I used to make full size blanket. Please and thank you
The loom I'm using is from Michaels, it's by the brand Loops & Threads and it has maybe 138 pegs (I can use weight 6 yarn on it). I don't own any KB looms because I live in Canada. On my green loom, I use all the pegs but I don't join the start and end peg or it would become a tube. Right now, I'm making a blanket on my loom and will be a queen size blanket. I can tell you for the KB afghan loom if you use all the pegs (but don't make a tube) you can definitely make a queen-size blanket. I've never made a king-size blanket on the loom before because my green loom has the most pegs of all the knitting looms I own. You can try making a tester piece on the KB loom to see if it would fit a king-size bed.
The blanket I'm making (the one in the video) is only half way done but when I get close to finishing it, I'll make a video about how to cast it off the loom.
I guess I forgot to mention once you start the 9th row you knit, purl, knit, purl the first 4 and last 4 pegs. (Once you reach the length of the blanket you want, you'll have to do the first thing you did in the beginning with the first 8 row but I show how to end the blanket in part 2) So, once you finishing purling the 8th row (around the whole knitting loom) , the last peg you purl will be first peg you knit. The reason why you have do this is so that the blanket doesn't curl on all 4 sides (lots of peoples blankets do this because they don't make a boarder).
Such an easy understanding tutorial! Thank you so much! Also for part 2!
You're welcome
Hello can you explain what you mean by knitting 1357? I'm new at this
Row 1 is a knit stitch, row 2 is a purl stitch. Rows 1, 3, 5, 7 are knit stitch. Rows 2, 4, 6, 8 are purl stitch. All the rows after that are knit stitch other than the first and last 4 pegs of every row.
If you don't make a border for the blanket, it will curl on every side.
Do you have a pt 2 showing the bind off
I will post a video on it hopefully within this month.
Here is part 2, I uploaded it yesterday: th-cam.com/video/yr6gKZbJ2k8/w-d-xo.html
how do i know which row is 1 3 and 5?
I count the rows . The first row you knit is row 1.
What happens if I don't go the opposite way when you finish a row? I didn't realize that was part of making the blanket... I there a way to fix it or do I have to take out all my work? I've done up to the 10th row.
It’ll turn into a tube if you don’t go the opposite way.
Do you have to pearl or is that something just for the pattern your using?
For the pattern I was making, yes or else the blanket will curl.

I want to make a twin 50 inches wide. How many pegs do I use.
If this loom makes queen can you tell me how wide it is and I can divide
Hi! Does this specific cast on prevent the edges from curling?
It prevents curling.
How wide of a blanket does this loom make?
It would fit the top of a queen size bed.
@@celinaduguay6484 do you have a picture of the finished blanket! Thanks for your help and love the video!
@@kiwikiwikiwis I'm almost done knitting a blanket on this loom. And I'll post a picture of it on my knitting Insta account.
How many balls does it take to make a blanket?
It all depends on the weight (thickness) of the yarn, how many yards per yarn skein, and the size of the blanket that you want to make.
You need to at least answer the question.... though Google has a great chart you can look up to show how much yarn you should need per project.
What kinda tool u using?
The pick or the thing I wrap the yarn with?
Is this from.start to finish
I made a part 2
What is the tool used at 1:39
It's a loom knitting hook.
Im confused at the pearl step 😢
Purl, not pearl. Pearls come from oysters, purls come from your knitting needles

It costed between $30-$40 CAD but I used a 30% off coupon.

I have a question, when you say knit, purl, knit, purl the first and last four pegs, do we do that on the 8th row only or all of them?

@@celinaduguay6484 thank you! So we knit, purl, knit, purl after the 8th row? For the rest of the blanket?
@@adrieee5618 Only the first 4 and last 4 pegs of the whole loom. The pegs in between that is just regular knit stitch.
@@celinaduguay6484 I meant do we knit purl knit purl the last and first 4 pegs for the rest of the rows until the blanket is finished?
@@adrieee5618 yes.
Am I supposed to go the opposite way every time.
Yes, unless you're trying to make a tube.
I don't understand that numbers
Means that the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th times you go around need knit, and the even numbered times are purled
Yes
