The language barrior, it's not easy for someone to reach mainstream success without speaking English. It's not complaint or anything, it's just natural. Japanese speakers don't become famous in Mexico. It's easier for people to connect with people they can understand, subtitles are great but it's not the same level of connection understanding the tone and subtleties. That said, he has still done a great job becoming a success even in the US despite the language barrier.
I completely agree with you, one main factor is is the Mexican culture. If you ever get a chance, look into any Canelo interview in Spanish (I would recommend ESPN Interview: David Faitelson & Canelo Álvarez). Canelo is the only guy I would believe saying that. 14 year old knocking out 30+ year old men
Eso mi canelo puro orgullo ♥️♥️🙏🏽
Un ejemplo al maximo! Una inspiracion para mexico y el mundo! Such a great example and inspiration to the world and mexico!
Canelo is very humbled! I can’t believe ppl hate on him and saying he aint humbled
Any good fights tht he has ??
Why isn’t Canelo recognized like a sense Ali was? I know it will be a little different 😁 in Comparison. Is it really Age and not making the right choices in the ring?
I am shocked the Haters aren’t talking trash about his children being well taken care of and their future. I thought that is the whole point of being a parent to take less worry out of the kids lives.
Canelo is a Champ.
Our culture is full of toxicity, starting from education in toddlers. Our “Analysts & Commentators in Mexico” will make any news up just to bring in money to the table. They don’t care if put in jeopardy somebody’s career.
Canelo eres unchigon grasias
Wow the more I see him in this light makes me respect him even more! He was definitely born for combat!
Someone make a movie about this man
Kingsman🤣
Wow, great interview. Tough circumstances, but Canelo persevered. I really like the guy.
That's terrifying that he started boxing not for the money but he liked and enjoyed it.... That my friends is soild....
Greatness come from the bottom!! That's the reason why Canelo Alvarez is the best P4P, the face of box and for sure a legend in the making.
After watching this and listening to Canelo I have a lot of respect for this man 💪🏿
Love this VIVA CANELO 👑
"I want to work and box" same, man, same. Este es el espiritu de Mexico
I saw Canelo fight when he was 15 yrs old in Brownsviile,Tx he actually won by TKO with a body shot to the liver damn and now he’s almost becoming undisputed super middleweight champion 🇲🇽🥊💪🏼🇲🇽🥊💪🏼

Nah bro. It'll take at least 10 hours. Them canelo haters are busy hating on the people around them, their coworkers, their family you know? So they're so busy hating that it gets tiring and they have to sleep a lot. We'll see the hate come when they wake up
TELO MERESES CAMPION ANIMO Y BENDICIONES CANELO, FIRME FAN TU YO PAISANO.
Canelo best boxer at this time
😂🧢
I'm so glad hes getting the hype in the USA he has deserved for years
The people around the region of Jalisco are strong and brave people. Many are hard working cattlemen.
The old saying in Spanish “Jalisco never gives up”
you mean "jalisco no se raja"
He will always remain my favorite, real ass Mexican 2 the fucking bone 🇲🇽 finally a real brother made it out the struggle
Thanks for this post! Grateful for TH-cam!

Que bello el Canelo. Un orgullo mexicano.
A true representative of Mexican culture, and a amazing person in general.
Canelo is a unit! Coming from a GGG fan...the first fight should’ve went to my guy but the second fight Canelo really showed he’s head and shoulders above his competition
