It is so important to listen to all your clues-mistakes-instructions for your projects. You may think you over explain things but you don't. All the info is so helpful!
Hey Julie, what if you tried the heat gun on the film with the film laying on top of something like a fry basket that you would use in your air fryer. Then you would have a flat surface to lay the plastic on but the air would circulate around it better. Just a thought. I love the effects that you get with the film. These are cool.
Chip bags with silver on the inside behave in a similar manner when heated. They developed an alligator skin type texture like this. Consider trying an iron with parchment paper in between... you can do short heats and check in between so you can control how far you go with it. This would prevent it from blowing around and would heat more evenly. I do believe it would make the texture even if you press, but you could always hover slightly to apply heat without flattening. On chip bags, I was pressing them with the iron (with parchment paper, of course), and I still got the dramatic texture. I think using one of those clover mini irons might give you really great control...🤷
Thank you for sharing! This stuff looks like fun to play with.
I love your work. It is my time to relax and detox the day away. You are wonderful lady thank you
Every time you make Pendants, they are so unique and beautiful. Making jewellery could be a 2nd income - whatever you make would fly off the shelves!! I am sure your mould making keeps you very busy. You put your heart into everything you do and it shows. Love your videos - thank you for sharing your resin hobby.
If you lay them down use a piece of heavy cardboard to flatten as you go as opposed to the stick and layer a couple different colors while using the heat gun
I absolutely love these pendants. It's amazing how the fantasy film work. Amazon, here I come ... again 😅
I cannot thank you enough for the tip about the loop on the bezels (2:45ish)! I've been stressing about how to overcome this little problem! BRILLIANT IDEA! 😲😉👍❤️🔥
We also call it fusible film so you could try fusing 2 colours together, it’s fabulous stuff ,I love it !!
I used "window UV protective foil" since I can't find colorful dedicated craft foil / cellophane, it's basically the same thing but one side is adhesive, but that is very useful when you want it to somewhat stick a bit to the back of a work piece!
To give some context of how the foil looks, when installed on a window, from inside it has a magenta-ish to yellow tint, and from outside it's from green to blue, and when I apply heat it pretty much wrinkles and looks like the two pieces you made in the video!
Like I said it pretty much feels and works the same but that foil is meant to be installed on windows, I tried it because I can't find fantasy film or anything like that colorful dedicated for arts and crafts! Normally some flower stores can have colorful cellophane to wrap bouquets, but didn't have luck finding something similar there either, so the only option was window foil!
I am so glad you are making jewelry
They are just marvelous and beautiful Julie. I love the fantasy film. Yes more fantasy film please.
You always make such beautiful creations. Your attention to detail help them to be perfect. Thanks for teaching us! Those coasters are beautiful as well.
They are gorgeous. I would have liked to see one up and one down, completed. Thank you for showing us how to make these! ❤
Your patience is remarkable. I would have thrown them out the window in half the time. Lovely work.
Beautiful, Julie thank you for sharing your talents with us.
They're just stunning Julie, so colourful & pretty. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
This was fascinating. I never heard or seen these so you taught me something new on your site. They came out so awesome. You make it look so easy. Again, they are so different and so beautiful. Bravo Chica 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏!!!!!❤🎉😊
Oh my, Julie, they are lovely! Thanks so very much for sharing this technique. I really would like to see more of the fantasy film in projects. Have a lovely day. 😊
So very very beautiful ❤❤❤
These are Beautiful Julie, love them. You always give such exceptional instructions, thank you.
Hey Julie! Wow, those are just gorgeous! Love that fantasy film effect. Bravo...Big hugs from Texas!😁😍
I've never used the fantasy film, but I have used dichro-ish film which I purchase from Little Windows. I think it may be a tad bit thicker. I've also fused 2 and even 3 colors together. Love the effect!
Gorgeous pendants! Thanks doing something with closed bezels! I can't very many videos on jewelry with the closed bezels!
Those are SWEET. Miss Julie, have you ever considered selling your demonstration projects on eBay or Amazon? Just a thought. Blessings to You and Yours, Sweet Lady. Your JOY is so infectious, BTW. 🐩🙏🥰
Absolutely gorgeous.
This so cool maybe try heating them on a cooling cookie rack .. that may work beautiful ❤pendants
Absolutely Stunning Julie ❤❤
You can flip and do it from both sides so you have a mix of the textures. They can also be fused together or separately for a little bit and then together for a mix of colors!
Ya know that almost looks like the film we used to use in the 80s and used a blow dryer to shrink it on gift baskets.
I call it dichroic film
Pretty pieces! I have seen people crinkle up the film and then spread it out and heat it. Gives a different look.
Beautiful pieces, Julie! I love to work with fantasy film!
I need to make these! I've got several films I want to try this with..to see if I get that dramatic effect! LOVE IT! 🤩❤️🔥
Yes, we can see the doming quite clearly. 😊
Stunning! Love love love them!❤❤❤
These pieces are absolutely stunning !! 😍 I need to get some of the fantasy film & try it. Thank you Julie
Very pretty design and colors❤
These are gorgeous!!!
Julie, these are stunning!
Those are so pretty
These are *stunning* Julie! The doming is perfect, too! Enjoyed the video, for sure! 😊👍😍
Thankyou so much 🥰
Those are stunning 😍
Absolutely stunning ❤
So beautiful. ❤❤❤
Love your videos so inspiring can't wait to watch this one
Stunning!!!
I love these. You always surprise me. Never know what you have up your sleeve
But, it will be something exciting an different
Very nice .🎉🎉
That is such a cool idea💛💙🧡
so beautiful!!
They're so pretty Julie!!! They look like planets or funky colored water!
For the brown lace you could use some jewelry pliers and squish that metal bit into a more ovoid shape to fit better through that bail instead of cutting it off next time!
Again, I absolutely love these! Does the fantasy film look super different on other colored backgrounds? Like if you painted the base with a white nail polish instead of black, i wonder what they'd look like.
I love these, they're gorgeous! The patterns are like leopard print or lizard skin. The shrunken Twistie packets fad was called "shrinky dinks", which may have been an Australian fad with a name like that. I remember watching my older sisters make them, then they attached them to hooks and hung them on their school bags. It fascinated me how the writing and designs shrank perfectly so you could still read the name on the packet.
I remember we had "Shrinky Dinks" here in the US 40? 50? years ago and they reappear every decade or so....There were pre-printed ones you colored in or ones you cut out and designed yourself. Thanks for the memory!!!
@@Soifdesang9 Thanks for clearing that up. We must have imported them from the US then, in a time when kids were allowed to take risks with their play 😂
I remember making Christmas decorations with Shrinky Dinks in South Africa!
When I used fantasy film, I fuse 2 or 3 layers of different colors and the colors are amazing!!
I didn't have the depth in the bezels to do that
These are so cool! Love them! ❤
Beautiful. I’m going to have to try this.🥰
I have used permanent black markers on the bezel backs,it works well also
Julie on Amazon in America the film was called Angelina fantasy film!
Wow very pretty!
So clever, thank you.
What about black gel polish, it’s UV cured and may leave a tacky layer depending on the brand, to help with keeping the angel paper in place and will hold glitter and gold leaf? There’s a bunch of uses you could explore and I’m here for it!I love your explanations, not all folks go into as much detail as you and for someone like me it’s so very helpful. Thank you!❤
Abother amazing masterpiece. So cool 😎! Big fan from Texas ♥️🤠
Other TH-camrs said that there are subtitle settings in the options when publishing videos and that they made them themselves, you can do it too, please, I want to understand and learn from you, Julie.
❤❤❤❤

Fabulous video!
Beautiful!
I love it!💜
beautiful
Great results❤❤❤
Really gorgeous!. I like to layer up the different coloured films. I use uv resin with mine. Bit quicker! 😂
Beautiful
Excellent! Thanks for sharing!❤
So pretty. I bought some fantasy film a while ago and don't know where I put it, lol. Gonna have to find it cause these are way cool! xoxoxooxoxox
They’re beautiful! Just love Fantasy film. Both of them would also be really pretty with a rose gold bezel and chain. I’ve seen silicone finger tip protectors on Amazon, they just go up to the first knuckle. I haven’t tried them yet but, I bet they’d work well to use while heating up the Fantasy film. I can’t wait to get some film and try it. That turtle you made a while ago with it just in the shell was gorgeous! Thanks Julie for showing us another wonderful tutorial.❤
Love this film, heating makes the concave cells look like dragon scales. And the reverse, dragon skin.
Julie, I got some black & white uv nail gel and it works great.
Hey Julie, I’ve found that when I allow the heated air to flow underneath the film in addition to on top, I get smaller/tighter cells. Come to think of it, it’s probably the same reason that yours worked…the air flowing underneath stops the film from sticking to the work surface.
Eazy peezy lemon squeezy….. 😂😂😂
They are absolutely gorgeous ❤️ x
Those turned out so very pretty. 😍
❤🎉 beautiful necklaces🎉❤
Had to stop to comment at 6 or so minutes because you are so right when it comes to heat guns like that. I think they must be industrial compared to heat tools we use for embossing powder and such. I burned the mess out of myself when accidentally touching the end of it the first time I used mine. Lesson learned for sure! LOL!
Also, I can't find that film here in the US. All I can find is "holographic" film but it doesn't say anything about heat shrinking. Do you or any followers have any ideas on what to look for? I'd love some to try to use with UV resin jewelry for gifts.
These turned out GORGEOUS though! Beautiful work!
These are absolutely amazing! Now I really want to try to make these. I am gonna have to try and find the paper. Thank you so much Julie 🥰🥰🥰
Oh wow, I love these pendants. They are so beautiful. 😊❤
These turned out beautiful!❤
I'm watching your videos and I can't set the subtitles, the person who uploads the video needs to do this, Julie, please.
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Those are really pretty Julie. 💗😍
Watch little windows resin for tips on the dichro film
I hope this helps Julie. I'm not sure if it was " Little Windows" or somewhere else working with the film. But they pressed the film down with a piece of cardboard as soon as it started to bubble so that it wouldn't become a crazy, unusual bumpy thing.!!!
Concave up will give air bubbles underneath
Hi ❤❤❤
Have you ever tried a circle punch to make the cutting part easier?
From the caribbean goregous julie
❤❤❤
So neat! I am wondering how the fiber version works with resin. Would it give any sort of fur look in a bunny or the dog molds you have used?
Julie you should buy a circle paper cutter the size you need for the film. I have circle from 1/2” to 3”. Just an idea.
Good idea ❤
@@PouringYourHeartOut thank you. After having to cut out 32 circles for a project my granddaughter was doing for school. I decided when I seen the set at hobby lobby I was sold. I love how yours came out. I can’t wait to try it.
Please Julie see and hear me, add Turkish subtitles in the video options, please do this while publishing❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey girl. Been watching your videos and I love your stuff. How much each would you sell for 1 pendant without the chain?
Try laying then use the heat gun to fuse two or three together
I couldn't have it too thick this time
Would you please tell me how I can resin a clock and make a beautiful design for my project
And add me to your list, I follow my name at the beginning of the video.
😂😂❤🙈
What about using clear nail polish on the inside to lay down the film. It will be tacky then put the film down. Then there is more room for topcoat
I'd probably stuck them onto the black nail polish ❤
❤❤😊👌🏻👏🏻🤩🥰
