How to Crochet Baby Socks (0-6 months)

PATTERN
___________
Crochet socks (0-6 month)
Yarn : light weight #3
Hook : 3.50 mm hook
Measurements : Toe to heel (3.5 inches), heel to cuff (3 inches)
Magic loop
Round 1 : chain 1, 6 hdc. Slip sts
Round 2 : chain 1, 2 hdc in every sts. Slip sts (12 sts)
Round 3 : chain 1, * 1 hdc, 2 hdc next sts , repeat *to 6x. Slip sts (18 sts)
Round 4-9 : chain 1, 18 hdc. Slip sts
Heel
Row 1-4 : chain 1, 8 hdc
Fold heel in half and single crochet both side together
Slip sts all the way up
Round 10-14: chain 1, 20 hdc. Slip sts
Round 15-16 : chain 1, * 1 fphdc, 1 bphdc * , repeat to till end. Slip sts
Chain 1 & cut yarn. Make 2 socks

I have problems keeping my tension the same so one sock always comes out bigger or smaller, same goes for slippers or shoes. I have neuropathy in my hands along with tremors and arthritis. 😞 But ... I keep trying til I get some that match. LoL 😊
Hi Victoria. I have the same problem too sometime but not because of arthritis, it's because I didn't pay attention on my tension.

I struggled big time with Acrylic baby yarn it kept splitting.
Also think tge small crochet hook was a problem.
Changed yarn but wasn't suitable.
I also struggled getting same amount of stitches as you.
I'm a beginner to crochet & wouldnt say this is a beginner's project
