When me and my dad used to go fishing as a kid we always ate sardines in mustard and beanie weenies. Sardines always tasted great wrapped in a piece of bread while we “drowned bait” as dad used to say.
Good times... Did the same with my old man... But usually not Beenie Weenies. Just a can of baked beans, sardines in mustard sauce wit a touch of the omnipresent tobacco sauce, and a can of corn.. Beenie Weenies were reserved for my school lunch box, they were too expensive. 😂
Enjoyable and funny. Pretty campsite .I always like the wind and lightening before a storm. Sorry about gas prices, we are all feeling the pain. My husband has a pickup and you can almost hear it guzzling and mocking us on long trips:)! Good luck at the dentist.

Sardines are great for you, too. Lowest amounts of mercury than any other fish. I like the skinless/boneless variety in olive oil or hot oil. With some crackers, they are the perfect quick lunch.
I really enjoy these videos. Back when I bought my GMC new in 2007, I had dreams of doing what you are doing here. Road trips and camping out of the back of the truck and seeing what this land has for me to see and enjoy. Sadly, it never happened. Thanks for letting me live a few of those dreams through your videos. You're also making me want to try sardines, a food I'm curious about but have never been brave enough to try.
Those are my favorite sardines! The mustard ones are good also. Haha I wrote this before you showed your sardine stash. My Grandpa introduced me to sardines and crackers...saltines or Ritz! I was like 4 years old...I'm now 51 and still eating them.

Sardines are great and one can add to the flavor when passed on a pan. They are also great with White Rice, so yeah, Sardines may be cheap, but they are good and can be very tasty.

Hey Quady! Good video. Love the sound of rain and a small storm; don't really like the sound of a hard, heavy storm though, they kinda scare me. You usually make what looks like good food, except for the spicy stuff, but, sorry, not this time. I hate sardines! Have a bad stomach too so I can't eat hot sauce and stuff like that. Can't even eat chili anymore and I love it! But usually I see what you fix and think, boy I'd like to try that - if my stomach would let me. But yuck, not this time! I just can't stand sardines! My husband loves them, and buys them every week and usually eats them at lunch - we fix our own breakfast and lunch and I fix our supper, usually our biggest meal. You keep a lot of easy to fix meal on hand. That's a good thing. My husband loves oatmeal too. But again, I hate it. Love pancakes though with chocolate syrup, as I can't stand maple syrup. Have you ever tried them with chocolate syrup? It is very good - if you like chocolate syrup. Bugs are what happens when you have a light going in the dark! Bugs go to the light, Quady, you know that! I hate driving in the dark.
You literally picked a tree about to fall down and camped under it, Ballsy. Careful with those dead trees. Soon as you pulled in you can see where that tree has already failed 2-3 times, then the base side towards your truck is beyond rotten. Be careful out there, love the videos!
i make a similar dish when truck camping; minus the anchovies but put in a raw egg and do the whole thing in a yeti style thermos. add everything put the lid on and wait like 15 minutes, and bam!!
