This is the second piece by Vasks I have ever heard. Both had the same pause at the end. One of almost overwhelming emotion. The performers were as affected as the audience. The moment of silence and the conductor's expression at the end perfectly summed this up to me.
Such an amazing, beautiful work. There is hope for contemporary classical music. For those who might not know, the man focused on in the audience is the composer.
