  • It's time for another instalment of "Reel Action", where we revisit some of the biggest and best action classics from all the icons of the genre. Of course, one of the undisputed kings of the action genre will always be Sylvester Stallone, and this week we're taking a look at the great sci-fi/action/comedy mash-up Demolition Man!
In it, Stallone plays John Spartan, an unfairly cryogenically imprisoned cop thawed out in the year 2032 to catch his former arch-nemesis, Simon Phoenix, played by the iconic Wesley Snipes. Not only did this film pair Stallone and Snipes, but it was also a star-making performance by a young Sandra Bullock, who would nab a role in Speed based on her performance in this, which would rocket her to the top of the A-list. So join us as we take a closer look at this Stallone classic and try to answer the immortal question - "what's up with the three seashells?"

Only realised it was supposed to be Taco Bell after reading it in one of those trivia/goof lists downloaded from Usenet. 1.How do the seashells work?
    2. How do I enhance my calm while doing it?

Fun Fact John Spartan is also one of the many names for master chief, his first name is john and he's a spartan hence john spartan, as well as john 117 (yes a reference to the bible)

This movie is incredibly prophetic if you think about it. Things that we laughed about in the 90s that are dangerously close to becoming a reality.

Great flick usually I'd watch it back to back with Stallone's Judge Dredd, this was in a way Sly's comeback along with Cliffhanger after the failure of his comedies Oscar and Stop, Or My Mom Will Shoot.
