That tail gives me flashbacks to my two Irish Wolfhounds. Dog is happy and cleans the table off... >_> My second wolfhound had a wound just on the tip of his tail that just would not heal no matter what we did. It got infected and about half his tail had to get amputated. That was even worth. It was like a police baton right at crotch height at 50 beats per minute. D:
Ah yes the Irish wolfhounds happy tail! We owned 3 of these big guys when I was growing up they were all males.that tail could sweep a house of everything that was 3 feet high when they were happy ,which is pretty much all the time.when that tail whacked across you it got your attention, especially if it got you right in my male privates.i miss our big Mick's,so much.they are such perfect animals.
@@jamirbakerv5119 Big adorable babies and intelligent dogs. House is pretty safe with them, approximately they live around 11/12 years and they need lot's of open space. Very friendly dogs, but they also know how to behave with strangers. They eat almost everything, except chocolate. If they eat something that hurts their digestion, they will eat lot's of grass, which will make them to throw up and ease the pain. Once you got them, you just want to have them forever.
Presently I have 2- 10 year olds, but have raised hounds for my adult life and still am passionate about them. I love the talkers like Fia here. She's delightful!
I totally understand! I can't see myself ever not sharing my life with these magical hounds. When did you last have one? We have a puppy coming next year and are also hoping to breed with one of our girls. I am so looking forward to puppy breath!💗
@@caradubh I'm envious. I had 2. A boy and girl. I had just started looking into the breed. I had Irish Setters for many years. Plus some mix breeds along the way that needed rescue. Love the setters, but, they're a bit crazy. I love that about them but I was getting tired too easily. So a quieter breed I thought would be better. I visited a breeder....a horrible one. We were just taking a ride that day. Never was going to get one yet. Well this skinny tall pup is brought to us and wouldn't leave me. Just sat there crying. I caved. Knew I shouldn't but just did. Turns out this boy was 14 weeks and 19lbs. Parasites, fleas, anal gland issues, terrified of water, afraid of the sky, wouldn't eat etc. The vet didn't think he'd live. I had to feed him off my finger 6 times a day. Took weeks but we got him healthy. He was a love like no other. He lived to 9.5 years. My girl was 8 when I took her in. She'd been to different places and none worked out. Winter was coming so I took her in. No one wanted her because of her age. Health problems yes but we got them under control. Bless her she lived to 14.6 years. We believe she was the oldest in the USA at that time. A dog in Ireland was 16 at that time. An amazing personality and so loving. I'd do anything to have another but I've a chronic condition so that option is closed to me. Can't wait till the speciality shows are back and near me. Then at least I can get a fix. 😍😍😍
So true! As soon as I sit on my sofa, my other Wolfhound girlie gently climbs up on my lap. She is 3 years old and a beautiful big girl, weighing roughly 68kg.💗

I'm so sorry your dear Maggie is gone. But, she will never leave your heart, Renu! She will always be your guardian. I have lost a pup of just 18mths and a beautiful adult of 7.5 years to vet's mistakes in the 44 yrs I have lived with this magnificent breed and these were the most difficult losses. I have also had them reach 9.5yrs, 11yrs 2 months and 12 yrs 2 months. But every day with every hound has been so special and so worth it! So, take heart and if your circumstances are suitable, do let another Wolfhound into your life. Every day will be filled with the amazing affection they give again. Best wishes.💗
I have an irish wolfhound terrier mix and its a boy, i have another one its a pitbull labador. And a kitty we call her kitty and the irish wolfhound king and the other one kilo we were supposed to get the sister of kilo but my aunty sold her. And king has maybe 2 sisters one is blonde and i dont know the other one😑
At that point she was just about 6 months old. A very happy puppy full of character. She has since grown up and is a stunning beauty who still is talkative and fully of happiness. A beautiful young girl at nearly 3yrs old now.
