Racehorse owners, industry to appeal against Singapore Turf Club closure

- About 30 horse owners met with the Singapore trainers' association for the first time today. They said they will submit a proposal to the government to allow the Singapore Turf Club to continue operations. The club will hold its last race in October 2024, effectively ending the tradition of horse racing in the country. The facility will be shut by March 2027 for redevelopment. The meeting was also attended by about 22 trainers. Those present said the proposal for an extension represents various stakeholders. More than 350 people working at the turf club will be affected by its closure.

Stakeholders must serve the government a demand to stop the closure or provide large monetary compensation. If the Lee administration refuses to comply, get all your members to stage a mass protest. You may ride your horses along the roads and towns of Singapore to get attention and support from the public. Finally, you may get the attention of Ministers by getting your horses to take a crap on the front gates of 26 and 31 Ridout Road. Protest today.
So sad that the authorities did not ask singaporeans what they think.

Horses are beaten to run as fast as they can, ending up with bleeding lungs or injuries that can be painful or fatal. We do not need to abuse horses by forcing them to race at humans' pleasure for the sake of gambling in this day and age. It's not right to make animals suffer.
Simply build on top of the building problem solved. Save place and new modern architect horses racing in the sky I believe will put singapore on the map again..

This is great news. Making rich people leave the country and invest in other countries instead. Meaning less investment and more money going out of the city. They should relocate to other country and pull out all their assets.
