The final scene of this movie, with Free Bird playing alongside the long shots of the car, is honestly one of the best endings to a movie that I have had the pleasure of experiencing.
@@mtb5431 Which is exactly why I haven't watched and will never watch Three From Hell. That ending in Devils Rejects was perfect and there was no reason for them to continue on after.
@Alex Hennigh I unfortunately did watch and went in with no idea Spalding would be killed off in the first 5 min. I hadn’t heard about Sid Haig’s death yet (may he R.I.P.) Spalding was the only Firefly I couldn’t help but find likable cause Sid Haig. Bill Mosley great as Otis but he and Baby are impossible to root for despite that apparently being Rob’s goal. Also we have no Wydell type character to give them their much deserved commeupance. It sucked seeing them triumph over Rondo’s son and even worse having Rondo go out like a bitch. He was one of the few characters who owned the Fireflies and I never wanted to see them get revenge on him. Nah the whole message of this movie is “the Fireflies are awesome!”
Rob Zombie wanted you to see Sheriff Wydell as the villain of the movie but I was rooting for him the whole way and was genuinely sad when he died. I’ve always had a soft spot for Captain Spalding though lol
His last movie was playing a guide into the mountains of Colorado. To be murdered by a bunch of man-eating troglodyte people. Kurt Russell was also in it. It was a Quentin Tarantino Japanese type. Sukiyaki Western Django.
THIS is the reason I still watch Rob Zombie's movies. Totally different spin on the family from House of 1000 Corpses, it's story veered into a stylish 70s psychopathic road trip filled with menacing dialog, graphic violence and no boundaries while a classic southern rock played in the background, moving the story and outlaws along. By the end, the writing was on the wall - the "good guys" become the "bad guys" and the villains become the hunted. It's a classic and definitely one of Zombie's best.

Right, thats why i kinda hate these movies the fireflies are so mean and obnoxious but the plot NEVER lets them actually suffer. Even when being tortured they got off fucking EASY compared to what they do to other people.
It would have been better and more brutal if it just ended with them all getting slowly tortured to death by the sheriff, instead of that stupid ass cliché slow motion free bird sequence. it would have shown how the sheriff has become just as deranged as the people he's hunting, but also showing that the firelfies got exactly what they deserved instead of that idiotic Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid style heroic shootout. That ending worked in Butch Cassidy because even though Redford and Newman were outlaws, they were very likable, where as the firelflies are as loathsome as humanly possible. Rob Zombie honestly cant write a movie to save his life in my opinion.

I liked House of a 1000 corpses when because I felt like it was an experiment, some kind of a comedic parody of a horror movie in a fabulous gorish gothic/baroque setting. I wasn’t expecting much watching a sequel because I felt the first one’s message had been already successfully told and there was no room from improvement from either an artistic or filmic perspective. However, I totally loved it. I actually thought it’s even better in some ways. It has shifted from plain "fun" with references to a very unsettling in-between by giving depth to its characters. From puppets of a horrific dance they’ve become ramping hollow icons in search of their own purpose. Without disavowing its original intention, the movie leaves aside usual narratives and lets its monsters loose, in a movie where everything seems possible. Eventually, we’re witnessing a woke and strange nightmare, walking on a thin line from which we can’t decide as like or be spooked by the protagonists... This film is certainly underrated...

Sheri Moon Zombie's brother has a cameo as a police officer in the opening shootout scene. He was originally only on the set as a visitor, but director Rob Zombie put him in the scene because he knew how to handle firearms well. Rob Zombie stated in an interview that, up until 31 (2016), 'The Devil's Rejects' was probably the hardest film of his to cut down in order to receive an R rating. Chris Jericho auditioned for the role of Rondo, but was told he was "too pretty" for the part. Danny Trejo was cast instead. Final film of Matthew McGrory. He died just over a month after its release. The blue van's plate spells AKU, which means "evil" in Japanese. Won Most Vile Villain(s) (for The Firefly Family) and Best Horror Movie at The 2006 Scream Awards. This movie had to be cut seven times in order to receive an R rating from the MPAA. According to Rob Zombie, the censors had an issue with the film's overall tone, specifically the motel scene between Priscilla Barnes and Bill Moseley. This scene had to be cut by two minutes for the theatrical release; the cut footage was restored in the DVD version. Body count: 19. The names "Firefly", "Captain Spaulding" and "Otis B. Driftwood" are all names of Groucho Marx characters in various The Marx Brothers films. The dream-like sequences that Otis saw of himself, Captain Spaulding and Baby during the ending were actually clips of candid footage of the three actors that was shot on the final day of filming. After wrapping up on the last day, Rob Zombie filmed Sherri Moon Zombie, Bill Moseley and Sid Haig as they had some post-wrap up fun and said their "good byes" into the camera. Both this and House of 1000 Corpses (2003) were dedicated to actors who had appeared in the films but died prior to their release. Sheri Moon Zombie does not see this film as a sequel: "It's more like some of the characters from House of 1000 Corpses (2003) came on over, and now they're the Devil's Rejects." The name "Charlie Altamont" was inspired by The Rolling Stones documentary Gimme Shelter (1970), in which a Hell's Angels gang member hired to work security stabbed a youth to death at Altamont Speedway in northern California. In this film, Charlie "gives shelter" to the Firefly family. Sheri Moon Zombie was emotionally drained during the shooting of a scene with William Forsythe that required her to cry. She was so affected by the scene--which took two to three hours to film--that she did not come to work for two days afterward

Watched the entire trilogy this past week! House of a 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects are probably my favourite horror movies. They're spectacular in my eyes! Also when it comes to The Devil's Rejects ... THAT'S how you make a sequel!! I do feel like they made 3 From Hell too late though ... l enjoyed it, but 14 years later is too late. That movie would have been better had they made it sooner. Anyway, love the trilogy nonetheless!
If they broke into an empty room, someone could have come in who rented it. They chose a room with people already in it because no one would be coming in, no one would think they were in there if they checked the logs because they would just see the band member or whoever paid for it, if a maid comes by you just say come back later. It was the smartest decision, wasn't just to have fun and kill/torture people.
Testament to the absolute lunacy of Google: I was curious as to who plays Charlie Altamont's...employee with the dark hair, and so I typed into Google "devil's rejects my most limber lady", that being the title, and a bit of dialogue I know was used in the movie in reference to that very character, AND NOT A SINGLE DAMN RESULT RELEVANT TO IT CAME UP ON THE ENTIRE FIRST PAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It DID appear in the first result on the second page, which is from an Asian website, IN THE FORM OF THE EXACT QUOTE FROM THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this movie part the most! ...and that ending with the music and all is so epic, nothing Rob will do in the future will top that moment....probably.
This is my favorite movie and every time I show it to someone and rewatch it I remember how f*d up it is and the person with me is usually moderately alarmed
So there is a 3rd. Thx, i loved the first 2 parts n can't wait to see then next. I think it's better to try, not to judge the 2nd by a horror movie scale. It isn't really scary in this way, neither as a psycho, splatter nor crazy freddy - style horror movie. It's a bit like with terminator 1 n 2. It's a story evolving from one genre into another, which makes it so great in my eyes. I love it when filmakers kept this somehow childlike ability to handle things playfully like for example tarrentino n rob zombie do with genre attributes. They manage to do that so well that it becomes a major factor that at the same time becomes the last thing, the movie makes me think about. That is art at it's finest n sets the few great appart from the many good. Hopefully he had at least the same level of funding compaired to his vision, for the third movie, n kept the standart, he established. Nice n fun to watch review n perfect sense for pointing out flaws in a way that doesn't drag down the rest, when they were not to important and not overrating nonsens where these maniacs themself r explaination enough. The feeling of relief n joy about the survival of there relatives n the determination just b4 they go against the roadblock, r really powerful executed. How much it made the viewer empathize with these psychos was mindblowing because it was never done by excusing there evil with the evil they recieved. It is out of question that they started the stuff but also showed that they all r humans like us. It showed how it still is evil, when done to the evil psychos, without giving u the knowledge how they became like that. Parrallel it displayed that even the rightious one can b derailed extremely if he starts to justify evil means by a seemingly right cause (which it wasn't - as soon protection from danger turned to getting revenge). U could completely watch n understand the sherrifs reasons for going mad. By the missing n given explaination for the madness of the characters with the suffering evil wrongdoings flipped from the supposed right side to the killers, that fact that acting against the own moral, willingly - can't b justified n stays evilness that leads to a progressingly corrupted soul, that is not at all different to the psycho familymembers, when presented without the context that started this corruption - Is the moral in this story so far (my guess, dunno if it's zombies intended message too, but it's the one that proves u a decent humsn being if u could get it out of this) definitly a subtext, that can b critical for the quality of the 3rd,if changed or ignored. A pretty high bar he set for himself...

I know that they are technically “bad” movies but I love that cheesy campy slasher horror, it just reeks of Halloween and I love that, the characters are just great just enough balance between being realistic and incredibly too over the top, I sTaN this series
Yoo I just found this channel today saw the house of 1000 corpses and I’m like Danm no Devil Rejects? And bam today he delivers underrated channel 👆
Still one of my favorites. The goofiness... the grittiness... just a fun film.
I love these kinds of movies
No deep message
No deep characters
No deep plot
Just turn of your brain and enjoy the violence
Antifa much?
@@BettyWhite2171 nah ,dont live in us,
Its just always the same tiring messages in some movies
Society is bad
Humans are bad
Humans are greedy
This charcters sybolises politicians and the rich
Bla bla bla
I just finished 4 hrs of homework, let me atleast turn off my brain for a bit

If that’s how you feel then Rob Zombie failed in his goal 😂
I LOVE Bill as Otis Driftwood. He did such a great job with thos character.
I remember seeing this a enjoyed the uncomfortable feeling, one thing that really puzzled me was seeing couples bring their children.
Hahahah holy shit they did?

How would they not know it was an R rated horror film ?
@ryanblanche1726 Well, it was named Devil's Rejects and was directed by Rob Zombie 🤣
I was watching your videos looking for a new one right now, what a great surprise
YO FINALLY YOU'RE GETTING THEM SUBS. Saw this a couple months ago your around 10k I think. Finally got what you deserve!
Sheri Moon Zombie does not see this film as a sequel: "It's more like some of the characters from House of 1000 Corpses (2003) came on over, and now they're the Devil's Rejects."
The name "Charlie Altamont" was inspired by The Rolling Stones documentary Gimme Shelter (1970), in which a Hell's Angels gang member hired to work security stabbed a youth to death at Altamont Speedway in northern California. In this film, Charlie "gives shelter" to the Firefly family.
Sheri Moon Zombie was emotionally drained during the shooting of a scene with William Forsythe that required her to cry. She was so affected by the scene--which took two to three hours to film--that she did not come to work for two days afterward
The best Rob Zombie movie. Rob really made this movie feel so hopeless and Godless and that's why it works
_apparently, rob zombie really loves those texas chainsaw references_
and sheri moon 😂
You deserve a lot more followers and likes... been subscribed to your channel for months now and I have to say everything you put is just pure quality and top notch❤️🙌
It’s a great day when you post
Hope everyone has a great week
The Devil's Rejects + Last House on The Last crossover would have been 🔥!!!
So happy YT recommended your channel.. Been binging your content all evening. Great stuff Hoss. Subbed
I watched House of a 1000 corpse with my girlfriends 10-year-old son. He said to me That Rob Zombie is 1 messed up dude.
Jeez, Callaghan went from the Police Academy to the madhouse over time…
I am the devil. And I'm here to do the devils work.
Easily top 5 movie of all time, right there with House of 1000 Corpses
If Zombie wanted us to like and sympathize with the Firefly family, he failed imo. Seeing them tortured was almost a pleasure to watch.
I always thought Zombie wanted us to enjoy them being tortured.
The ending was so heartwarming though 🥹
I loved the Fireflys.

I also love the Fireflys. And I love that they get away. Sometimes you need a break from fantasy of the hero always winning.
I know this may be an unpopular opinion but, I actually preferred house of a 1000 corpses over devils rejects.
i love this guys video consistency
Rest In Peace Sid Haig ❤️
Brand new subber... watched a couple reviews... love your style. Got my doobies and cigs at the ready. Gonna now bing watch
The Devil's Rejects isn't really a horror movie unlike its predecessor, it's more of a dark western.
My friend met rob zombie once he said he was a chill guy who was really nice unlike his characters
Billy foresythe taking delight in the torture of the 3 is a great scene.
Honestly, I liked House of 1000 Corpses, more.
I enjoyed the dialog and humor more.
*One of the other officers was the dude that played Ed Gein in the movie Ed Gein*
11:57 when I think of devilish fiends, I think of Diamond Dallas Page and Danny Trejo. Machete Bang!
Any one notice by the time the 3rd movie came out a lot of people died whom where in this trilogy
4 actors that have played in the first movie have passed away.
I mean that's what they get for being in a disgusting disturbing devil movie
@@CrusaderofGotham people don't deserve to die for being in dark movies though. They are just movies and wishing death upon them simply for that is even more messed up than the movies themselves I'd say.
I’m so glad you posted this because I had to turn this off halfway through and always wondered how the rest went!! Could you do a brutality of The Void? I love this series so much and I think that would be a perfect addition. Keep on making bangers bro👍🏻
Wow, I've seen both movies a lot of times but never realized mama firefly was played by different actors. I thought something was a bit off about her in Devil's Reject's, but i totally got duped^^
They don’t make films like this anymore
The "To Be Treated" scene where the Unholy Two capture the Fireflys is literally one of the best scenes in cinematic history. It was the calm before the storm of the final act. So beautiful.
I love this movie but I need to come back to watch this video after I finish my breakfast. I can’t stomach it this early while eating breakfast. lol
I just watched this movie last night for like to 30th time. Still one of my favorites.
One of my favourite horror films ever!
The little blonde chick did Tommy Pickles voice in the rugrats
I hate Rob Zombis Movies. Dumb and full of plot conveniences. Unlikeable characters. Boring.
Hey BigWill,
im a big Fan💯🔥
One of the best movie channels..subscribed
tbh idk weather to feel sad or angry at the family...they have mental issues at they haven't and probably won't get help for...while yes i do know that they hurt people for fun...they still aren't all there...hell i bet some of the times they don't even understand what their doing...they don't have morals....and yes that does not excuse what they do to others but that does explain why...they have mental problems (and maybe trauma??? i know people who do that didn't have a good childhood) that they can't and won't get help for...they are both the victim and the perpetrator...they are the abused and abuser...they are the firefly family..
the greatest part of this film's legacy is that it introduced me to the song Brave Awakening by Terry Reid
You need to do the brutality of wolf creek
That motel is about 50 miles from my house , I live in Arizona in the Mohave desert.
Hey! Just found your channel. 2 tips where one is a classic (ichi the killer) and one my personal top or worst 1 (visitor q) would enjoy your take on these!
"Tiny" was dying during the filming of this movie. Had some kind of congenital disease . Very depressing. He really was deformed in real life. I believe he got an RIP in the credits...
I really have to say I think Rob zombie does really capture some of the early and late seventies feel in this movie and he out right nails it down in His Halloween movies and I have no clue how he did it but if you were around back then you can definatley feel and see it
This and Freddy vs Jason were the first brutal movies I ever saw and I love them.
@1:40 there actually is a scene of Dr. Satan in the director's cut(?) where he's hospitalized after the initial raid on the Firefly house and manages to get one more kill in on a nurse
I loved this film and while watching house of 1000 corpses and the devil’s rejects I can’t help but to think sheri zombie could of played Harley Quinn. The way she can manipulate the pitch in her voice, to her body movement and just overall acting reminded me of Harley Quinn
She would have been perfect but too old
@@quantumblurrr you right lol
Loved the meme going round about a y3ar ago , “ why be a Kardashian when you can be a Firefly “.
I remember sitting in the theater laughing my ass off
I totally didn’t notice that was Leslie Easterbrook. I’ve seen the Police Academy movies hundreds of times
Tiny came in clutch then says in chat :ADIOS real chad move right there🗿
Saw this in the theaters when it came out. Fell in love with Rob Zombie & this is one of my favorite movies! It was the first horror (I was young) where I had to check my empathy for the villains..
Everything ok man? No weekly upload has me worried!!!
