The sight of Abbie Dow and Ellie Killdunne attacking the line is awesome and scary
Rosie playing with the biggest smile, great to see, Zoe getting 50 caps and a try and Sydney back on the field are just a few highlights. Such a difficult team to pick from the wealth of talent in the squad.
What a wonderful game the Women’s rugby is. When you can get match winners in Hanna Botterman and Ellie Killdunne, it just demonstrates the complete democracy of the game.
Ladies you have given me renewed hope in a game I had always loved since I was 11. Thank you.
Mad scrum power! Congrats ladies!
Shocking discipline today. If it hadn't been for all the penalties and scrums given away, that could have been 60 - 0. There was one point where the Roses gave away 3 penalties in like 3 minutes.
Fantastic second try by Ellie Kildunne. How she managed to ground that ball while being bundled into touch by Welsh bruisers I will never know.
Absolutely they need to stop their il discipline or they will be Punished. Especially if it a southern hemisphere ref and they're versus a southern hemisphere team
@@markbriten6999 They're being penalised NOW. That's what the problem is!!
@@BenjWarrant I didn't disagree I just pointed out the bias. Remember it's ok for Aussies to spear tackle
Excellent game Ladies well done
This was the second match in a row that the Red Roses have had a problem with conversions. John Mitchell has, in his squad, the most consistent English place kicker in the PWR namely Emma Sing but she has not appeared on his team sheet. Whilst Ellie Kildunne would appear to be an automatic choice, I would be tempted to try her on the wing and play Emma Sing at 15 where she has been on fire for Gloucester.
It was good to see Tatiana Heard having an impressive run out.
Helena Rowland would be first on my team sheet for the backs.
Rowland is injured
Kildunne brings more to full back than Sing could ever do. Not only her counterattacks from deep, but her ability to appear wide on either wing. Her speed also means that she is usually the first to arrive and protect the breakdown after a line break. It would be impossible to drop either Dow or Breach as well. The squad as it is has proven goalkickers in Harrison, Aitchison and Scarratt: they may be off-form at the moment (although Aitchison hit the post/bar twice and three of the tries were right on the touchline), but they will improve with practice.
@@davidandmargaretwright5524If Harrison, Scarrett and Aitcheson are off form then they should not be selected and an on form kicker called up. I have been watching Sing a lot this season and she is on fire. Matches can be won by successful conversions and some teams are not going to let that Red Roses get away with so many misses. To me Aitcheson is the best No 10 at the moment and Scarrett definitely not on form so should not be considered at the moment. Breach has never been my favourite. She is not good defensively cannot (by her own admission) kick and has not really recovered her early scoring form for England. That said, there seems to be a paucity of outstanding English wingers in the PWR. We are waiting for Ellie Rugman (Underwood) to recover from long term injury - now there's a winger.
@@SandSMat Scarrett was deservedly dropped from the team after Italy. I agree that Aitchison is the best No 10 at the moment. As I said, she hit the woodwork twice and the tries of Kildunne and Dow were in positions that would have tested any international kicker, male or female. Scotland and Ireland should give plenty of opportunity for conversion practice and hopefully Aitchison will have regained her form by France, when kicks may prove important. At the moment, the crucial emphasis is for Mitchell to put his stamp on the team and get them to gel in time for the 2025 World Cup. If Sing is as good as you say and maintains her form, she will certainly be in contention. She is in the England squad, but obviously did not make a good enough impression to be in the teams picked for the Six Nations.
@@davidandmargaretwright5524 I would not wish to be argumentative but Sing cannot impress if she isn't selected. Her form this season has been faultless and, surely, that is how, players are selected.
Some of those forwards would scare the life out of Joe Marler.
0:08 the who ? lmao
Noses? 🤣
Hahaha
England will win grand slam with their eyes closed
That is the standard of the competition.
Exactly head and shoulders
Whats happened to infante ? She was the best scrum half we ever had according to Simon Middleton.
I have posed that question and haven't seen a response. She was off having a baby but is playing for Sarries now. I agree that she was the best but am comfortable with Hunt (probably for one more season) Packer and Wyrwas and Claudia Mc Donald can always fill in.
She's an amazing player, and the Roses are weaker without her. I hope she eventually comes back!
Rugby is superior
one thing is for sure ladies or gents don't matter Wales have forgotten how to play rugby . results speak for themselves
Welsh try shouldn't have been awarded. The tap wasn't taken anywhere near to where the penalty was awarded.
Sarah Orchard noticeably raises her voices several octaves, when England's opposition do anything reasonably effective. For England her tone is flat as a pancake for everything. I get the impression that Orchard is not a England fan, but then she is a BBC presenter, English success is problematic.
Do you ever stop complaining? You should give up watching rugby as you don't seem to enjoy it.
You know England are overpowered, when Emma Sing isn't even on the bench!
Best player in the league, and she can't get place.
Too right, see my comments above.
Poor vision in attack, loads of tries went begging by greedy players, this side is not as good as ones in the past.
Very poor Welsh side, versus a poor but dominate English attack. For Wales, they are just losing the physical battle and for England, they are heavily reliant on individuals. Better sides would exploit both teams.
Wales are like, 6th in the world. They were Tier 1, this year.
The only team close to England are the Ferns, and England have thrashed them, the last two years.
New Zealand's honeymoon period for that disgraceful World Cup final, is well and truly over.
England are number one, by a country mile.
What better sides? France and New Zealand are the only teams close and they only have a chance if England get a player sent off.
This is such a pointless competition.
Why?
that was such a pointless comment.
