It didn’t work for me either but I found that if I added get a third address, even if it was the same I was able to remove the other two duplicates and end up with the one after you said it as a default address

I have some weird problem with my amazon account, when I click on the blue part to add new address for digital purchases it shows me an error page and sends me back to amazon home page. Its the same on PC and phone, I did manage to create a new address and I put it as standard hopefully that solves my problem.
