"A burnt cup of coffee that had clearly been heated on the surface of the sun." THAT just may be the most descriptive review of a cup of coffee I've ever heard on TH-cam before. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Always love your videos, thanks for sharing all the tips and tricks!!! Especially loved the Seek Discomfort shirt- its so fun when two great channels overlap. :)
Great video as always. I love Virgin Atlantic but economy from LAX to LHR is not something I want to do again. It’s a bit snug but I was impressed with the food. Premium Economy is the sweet spot, Priority check in, domestic first class style seats and better food. I’ll pay the $500 fee with points for that every time.
We have a short on our channel explaining it :) Plus, if you want even more details, check out our website for some Daily Drop articles explaining it as well!
That is insanely cheap (pointwise)!! I got the Capital One Venture card just for the SUB and I'm upto 95,000 miles now. I want to use them to book my first ever first class seat. I have only ever flown in basic economy at the very back of the plane before. I would prefer Emirates because they seem to have the best first-class in the world but also insanely hard to book with points (extremely limited availability and only close to departure). I'd happily pay $1200 to fly First Class Roundtrip to London! That's about what a normal economy flight costs!
Is the companion seat applicable only when booking a round trip? I wanted to book DEL-LHR one-way for myself and was wondering if I’ll still get a companion ticket?
You were lucky you were on an Airbus. I'd love to see a review if you'd flown on the Virgin Atlantic "Dreamliner". After a 10 hour flight TO London and an 11 hour flight FROM, I'm never flying on Virgin Atlantic again. We were set to fly on an Airbus on the way home but they changed the plane and our seats (so that my husband and I were on opposite sides of the Upper Class section of the plane instead of next to one another). The Dreamliner...an old plane, we were told...has the most UNCOMFORTABLE Upper Class seating you can imagine.
Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. We have not flown Upper Class on Virgin Atlantic’s Dreamliner, but have had experiences with airlines changing the plane prior to our flight. Otherwise, we have overall had great experiences with Virgin Atlantic so we are sorry to hear this!
Interesting experience with Virgin... saw Heathrow to Dubai for £1,200 in upper class. Absolute bargain. Went to book next day, gone up to £2,400. Not worth it for seven hour flight... checked back two days later, back to £1,200, snap[ped it up. Emirates economy premium cost more with no lounge use etc etc..
We have a short on our channel explaining the Virgin Atlantic’s Companion Award Seat if you want to check that out! But essentially, they have a program where you can book 1 person’s award flight using points and then call Virgin Atlantic to book a companions award seat for half of the points that you paid (pending seat availability on the flight obviously).
Do many people actually pay the dollar value for any of those seats? I imagine the majority are using points albeit not hacked the way you do. My guess is that business class passengers are earning points on the credit cards their employees use for work expenses? I am super curious if people are actually dropping real money.
Great question! Yes, we definitely know that people are paying the dollar value for these business class seats. This is because on most flights there are only a certain number of award seats that are available to be booked with points. Additionally, some will pay to upgrade last minute as well!
I didn't go up to the counter to ask this time but I have done this in the past right before boarding and usually its a couple hundred bucks or less depending on what you are upgrading from and upgrading too. Never hurts to ask!
Hi, I havent figured out how to contact you but I really need to know how to use my cheapoair club miles points for a flight. I have 32k points and their customer service is 💩. If anyone knows or if you could respond that would be great

Awesome video as always Daily Drop Crew.
Appreciate it!
Thank you for sharing. Didn’t know about the companion reward benefit. Learned something new.
So glad to hear that! Can't recommend the companion reward benefit enough. Thanks for watching!

Thank you! We have not flown in Virgin Atlantic’s Premium Economy product, but may need to try that at some point. We have heard good reviews on that!
yeah would love some more info/video on the Virgin Companion award!

I would love to visit Scotland!
It is a beautiful place!
My grandparents sat in Upper class it was nice
Awesome! Definitely a great experience 👍

No, you can use it to book one way! That is actually what we typically do 🤗

Booked a return flight from Montego Bay to London. Planning to upgrade to UC from premium economy. Would you advise against it?

we have ridiculous taxes especially in business in the UK so it isnt down to just the airline
How do you use the companion pass with Virgin Atlantic?

What's the brand on your wife's backpack. And have you done a video on travel backpacks??
She has a Nordace backpack while I have a Wandrd backpack! We have not done a video on travel backpacks at all unfortunately, but hope this helps :)
@@DailyDrop Perfect, thank you sir, the Alpaka's are a great line as well that I am considering.
Oooh
I see a Seek Discomfort here 😊

@@DailyDrop What about tickets paid for with points through a credit card portal. Are those also considered award seats?
"Seek Discomfort" in a Virgin Atlantic Lounge and Upper Class flight.🤣
How much was the upgrade that you resisted?

@@DailyDrop from London? I thought they hit you hard with the taxes.
@@DailyDrop will have to check it out next week
Not many are paying $17,000 round trip in Upper class. FWIW>
