NBC sucked. They rarely showed anyone aside from the same old teams. For years, I wanted to watch McDavid. Yet all we would ever get was Red Wings/Blackhawks or Flyers/Penguins. And they inexplicably hid playoff games on Golf Channel or MSNBC. And they unforgivingly cut away several minutes early from the Heritage Classic. TNT and ESPN are much better TV partners.
it always focused on the east coast teams and it had not much of a flare to their production. now, i have jsut seen older espn coverages of hockey, but they are better at building the drama, tell a story and had much more memorable coverages than nbc ever had. i mean their promo for their comeback to nhl says it all....sad tho that gary thorne aint coming back....a lot of espn moments are tied with him.
2023 and we still miss this guy
I come back to this just to remember Doc, I miss hiss commentating
I go back to the old NHL games just to hear him again
2024 and still my favorite broadcaster in sports history calling some of my favorite moments
I liked watching NHL games on NBC, it's sad to see them leave, but I can't wait to see what ESPN and TNT have in store for broadcasting the NHL
We miss you Doc
I’ll never forget those penguins games with Doc loved him.
I almost forgot Clement worked for NBC.
Dear ESPN and Turner
Don't fuck this up
Signed,
Every Hockey fan in America
Is NHL going to ESPN? I literally just found out that NBC was ending NHL today.
@@swifthighlights yeah ESPN and Turner splitting the rights at least for the next 7 years.
@@Monaayy29 Ah man. I don't like ESPN, and I have never heard of Turner.
@@swifthighlights TNT is the likely network where the NBA airs game on there.
I would say they have lived up to the bargain. Both are far better than NBC.
is nhl leaving nbc?
After the Stanley Cup Final whenever that ends.
yes
NHL on NBC not NBC on NHL
Oops my bad. Thanks 👍
Hi
Hello 👋

Good riddance NBC. Tired of your biased coverage. Go Bolts.
NBC was actually really good. I would say the commentary wasnt biased. You spoiled bolts fans have the wrong idea.
it always focused on the east coast teams and it had not much of a flare to their production. now, i have jsut seen older espn coverages of hockey, but they are better at building the drama, tell a story and had much more memorable coverages than nbc ever had. i mean their promo for their comeback to nhl says it all....sad tho that gary thorne aint coming back....a lot of espn moments are tied with him.
For real. I don't get the blind love affair with them. They were horrible.
