Met him back in the eighties when he was performing at Exeter air show flying his Harvard. Not only was he a great pilot and put on a great display but I got to chat with him after. We just talked flying as I knew music was not what he was there for. He was fascinating, very humble and quietly spoken and very engaging. He struck me as the perfect person to share a pint or two with in a quiet old country pub and talk about everything as he seemed very intelligent and thoughtful. No wasted words, just a very interesting person to engage with. I so wanted to gush and talk about the music but I’m glad I didn’t as it would have not shown him the respect he deserved for his flying skills.

He constantly changing his style both in stage presentation and what I describe as "Landscape music".A very down to earth guy. Always looking forward to his new music. Went to the Wembley gig and it was piggin awesome! The only thing that could top that night was to shake his hand. His music has been with me since I first became aware of him and to see him live for the first time now I am 61 was an emotional thing for me. Gary is a genius at his craft and I cannot wait to go again.

Lucky enough to see his Pleasure Principal tour a few years back. Replicas & P.P are both groundbreaking albums, still relevant and have that huge Numan soundscape that is completely original.

I remember seeing him live at the odeon new st Birmingham on he’s Telekon tour, that was around 1980ish he’s lighting stage set up was amazing and he was live!! Great artist.
Seen him recently 1st time got to go again absolutely brilliant, best gig ever been too, really in touch with the crowd and we all enjoyed it. Could tell he loved performing and how much rapport he had with us. Outstanding xx

When Gary toured Australia in 1980 I went to his concerts in Melbourne. He didn't speak at all throughout the concert. I wasn't sure if it was shymness or simply his on stage persona. Loved the show though!
I saw him this week in Oslo and he didn’t say much! Just thanks at the end, I thinks But he did not seem shy! Very engaged with the audience, lots of dancing on stage. Loved the show.
