Rabindranath had captured the ups and downs in pursuit of a spiritual life of a householder. It is scattered throughout in his songs; mostly. In one of his writings, he comments, "I have been unable to create a personal god and offer my prayers. The liberation of my 'Self' (probably he refers to the atman) from my worldly self is a rare and difficult achievement. I have to practice it every day. Otherwise, I feel restless throughout the day." One one hand, he has composed songs like "কেন বাণী তবে নাহি শুনি নাথ হে " (Why am I unable to hear your song lord?) as a sort of complaint to God. Anyone who has heard this instantly recognizes the depressive mood it rings in. On the other hand, as Swami Chetananda mentions @35:01, "প্রভু তোমা লাগি আঁকি জাগে ...." (My eyes are only open to see you, whatever may come....I feel joy even in pain) is the antidote to depression. Life, therefore, is full of its ups and downs and sets in swings of mood. Remembering the lord is certainly one of the antidotes. Very aptly said.
