I believe you're saying it because you know why it's more digestible is so flavorful and it's just not tough like the average smoked sausage or Italian sausage that we are used to eating is more digestible and it is very enjoyable I give you a thumbs up Penny 👍🏾
Yes it was all that. Easy to eat. Not off putting in anyway. And the texture was so close to meat and the flavor was so yummy.

This was really awesome Penny. I think you found a really good vegan place...I agree that really good vegan food is very expensive. I think it is very interesting that you preferred the vegan Italian sausage to the real thing. Italian sausage can be greasy and they can put a lot of good spice and stuff in the vegan sausage. I think you have also liked the veggie burgers you have had. Thanks Penny.
Yes that sausage sandwich wasn't greasy and that is part of the reason I really liked it. We were shocked of how yummy those sandwiches were. I'm shocked dad was loving it too. lol

Everyone has their own preference, but at 70 years old, I’m going to stick to my meat diet. Thats expensive! Bless your hearts for trying it, and glad you liked what you did Penny!

I was complete vegan for a full year, but it was really difficult. Now I do it twice a week. Great review, glad you did this :) Love you both.
That lunch was an eye opener. So yummy. Felt great after. Didn't feel weighed down. Dad and I talked about it all the way home. We need to get some vegan stuff from the grocery store for home. Love ya mister.

Hi Penny & Dad- This was a really GREAT review. I’ve tried a few vegan things here & there, but sometimes the texture is gross & doesn’t taste that great. This restaurant sounds like they definitely delivered! That looks like some tasty food. Glad you & dad enjoyed your lunch today. Kudos to Carla for suggesting this! Yes Penny, Trader Joe’s offers a good selection of vegan foods. Check their frozen section. They do have vegan mayo, chicken less orange chicken, meatballs, vegan buffalo dip, other dips & desserts! Certain things I would when I'm doing partial vegan now I will keep the same such as coleslaw and also potato salad I just I can't promise I'm not going to go totally vegan but I will be close to it my potatoes salad I do put a eggs in it I don't have to have eggs in it it could be just potato salad very good some people put eggs in it some people don't I would just have to pickle the mustard in the the mayonnaise some things I would keep the same so yes I would everything would not be vegan but the majority would be vegan of my meats and veggies cuz we're supposed to eat veggies and fruit so that's not a problem. Now this would be good for your father because it's good for his chewing and it's not hard on his Dentures I am so happy about this for your dad and I'm glad you enjoying it Penny because it's good it's worth it most of the vegan food is so good prepared so wonderful
You could try BBQing some impossible burgers and I recommend morning star farms sausage and hotdogs. With vegan food all the fixins are needed, I think.

I am not vegan but love the beyond burger. This is plant based but tastes like a real hamburger.
My wifes sister is vegan I tried some her food it's surprisingly pretty good can't complain about it vegan food it's good

The (not) chicken sandwich looks awesome. For me when I eat vegan or vegetarian it feels good that no one had to die for my food. I want to try the vegan mozz cheese and other cheeses.
That not chicken sandwich was yummy. And the sausage sandwich was super yummy. Lol. I want to get some vegan stuff at the grocery store to try. I was eyeing the vegan cheese too. Lol.

Very interesting review. I’m not vegan, I love all meats, fish, and seafood. I’m not opposed to eating vegan food once in a while and those items looked good. I wouldn’t pay those prices though. I think vegan food has come a long way. 10 years ago that stuff would have been awful I think. George is such a good sport to try new things. Love you both!

My thoughts have always been identical to yours. Years ago I did try Veggie Burgers & I did like them but always burped afterwards.Being a meat & potatoes girl have never wanted anything artificial or not 100% the real thing. Kroger has had several Vegan items on Clearance or mark downs. I hesitated on anything with fake meat but did purchase 2 Rice & Veggie meals I plan to add real chicken to. Have not tried them yet. Interesting review.
We really loved this lunch. It was yummy. Afterward dad and I were talking about how we were full but not weighed down in the tummy.

Hello George and Penny 😊. The only thing about vegan is if your allergic to certain nuts and grains you have to be careful. Otherwise it's pretty good except for their cheese's. Some have absolutely no taste. My friend used to work at a vegan restaurant and they had slavery good food. I don't care for the jackfruit cause it's flavorless and hard to chew. @@pennystwocents Great I rarely eat in restaurants there's never many options. When folks eat the meals I cook they are usually shocked it's vegan,but I've learned a lot of tricks over the years. I make a mean 🍔

I'm cooking homemade cheeseburgers and salad. I will be putting sharp cheese, grilled onions and a fried egg over easy on burgers with ketup and mayo.

Plant based sausage I guarantee is not healthier than the real thing, however, make sure sausage doesn’t hv added processed preservatives. Clean organic, unprocessed food no matter vegetable or animal is healthiest. It is amazing how they can get vegan food to taste like meat. Not all vegan food is overly processed though too. 😊

I can sympathize with price too. If I had a restaurant I would not charge extra for healthier options. I don’t believe in making sick and poor of our society paying more. I would up charge less healthy options to offset healthy food offerings.

Your dad would love a lot of the vegan meats because it is better for his system he's older more digestible more pleasing to the gut for good gut health Gas makes a difference when you can digest your food when it's not just sitting in your chest when it breaks down in the body your body feels better even when you change your milk from regular milk to a healthier type of milk like almond or coconut milk

I love vegan products. However, $17 is steep for what they are giving you. I would bet the sausage they gave you was made by Impossible or Beyond. Great tasting sausage but you can buy it in the supermarket and make a better (or at least just as good) sandwich at home for considerably less. Restaurants generally don't make crinkle cut fries on site so they are giving you frozen French fries with a bought in sausage. Premium prices for a less than premium product.

I would never pay $17 for a sandwich & fry! Plus, they are nickel & diming you to death. $1 extra to sub a small cole slaw for fries...please. Like cabbage is expensive...not.

I love vegan food, but the downside is that vegan food is high in fiber which causes your body to have more bowel movements than normal. I care about you guys, so I figured I'd mention that.
