I have one with a heavy barrel. I have no issues obtaining 1 inch group, or smaller, supported, at 100 yards and ringing steel at 400 yards. Very pleased with this rifle.
Getting one of these in 223 but my issue is the mags. Howa needs to remedy this now. Thankfully they stated by the last quarter of the year or end, we will be getting a bottom metal that convert it to hinged floor plate! Thank god, as the issues scared me Howa makes quality rifles and their actions are nice for hunter stocks and prs chassis’
1 the scope is touching the barrel at the front bell, bad foe accuracy, and why does everyone love the 7.62x39 but hate the 30-30 when they are basically the same round ???? the 30-30 has a little more power then the 7.62x39
Actually 7.62x39 is better than 30-30 past 100 yards if I remember correctly. Go watch who tee who video on 7.62x39 & 30-30 there pretty much the same dang round on paper
@@RattlesnakeDefense I see. Yeah it's definitely easier to shoot at that range with a scope than with iron sights. I recently had the opportunity to shoot an AR-15 with iron sights out to 400 yards. The targets were 18"x18" steel plates. It was surprisingly easy. That said, it's obviously a different caliber and aperture sights are easier (for me at least) to shoot precisely than open sights. Anyway, I guess my point is that I believe a lot of people would be surprised at how effective iron sights can be.

“Clip” fed??? Cmon man
the ATF said it lolol they are the experts bud , we all know that :P

Thank you James, very good presentation..
Would have liked to see you shoot a few groups from 100 yards and have a good support rest.
I have one in polymer. It's pretty great.
I've shot even worse ammo than that (corrosive chinese surplus). Performs very well.
Same here mate, brought the rifle to the ammunition after finding 5000 rounds of the stuff hidden in my old mans shed haha. Agreed, fantastic rifle
I dod’t see guns in Japan, but I was surprised that there are made in Japan in the US
Good setup 👍
Great video!
Where is this manufactured?
Howa is made in Japan. Thank you.

I see daylight between the scope and barrel in the video.
Yeah man scope isn’t touching
What did it do at the 200 yard target?
I hit a 8 in round swinger 5 for 5
Is that 22" barrel a heavy profile one or standard?
22 Standard
Is it a 16" or 22" barrel?
22"
8:21 200 yards isn't way past the effective range of an AK. It isn't even close to the maximum effective range of an AK.
You are correct, more of a reference to open sight weapons compared to the same ammo out of a scoped bolt gun. I should have been more clear.

How'd you get a wood stock for it?
Howa item number HWH762. Distributors have them in stock. Hope this helps.

What was the distance
50 yards for the groups
Not a good review at all !!!
No doubt, this guy sucks.
Shooting at 50 yards is joke for accuracy testing, I was hoping for some real insight
