    Yes, a normal 15-year-old would know better. But this was a girl coming out of a very abusive situation. She was looking for an adult to Love her and take care of her and this man abused his power and her situation.

I've been through multiple abuse, emotionally unavailable mom and never had a dad with severe social anxiety, depression, bullied, no friends. And at 15, I knew better than to be with my teacher. If he touched her, she should've told the authorities right away. He's disgusting and horrible however I also believe that for a 15 (young adult not a child) should have had enough sense to go to the authorities when the teacher displayed such disgusting behaviors?? Not feed into it. Even with emotional abuse, you knoW when someone is trying to become sexual. At 15 I knew better and I've been through just as much abuse throughout my life without having sexual relations with the teacher. I dont think it's her fault it happened however I do believe she could've done a lot more to stop it. In like 25 states she could marry him if the parents allowed. A 15 year old can legally get emancipated from their parents too. It's all kinda silly, picking random ages where things are considered right and wrong when it's the individual and their situation that matters.

      A M
      Exactly. These sickos in the comments section defending a predator and blaming a young girl shows how corrupt our society is. We are not talking about a slight age gap such as she was 16 and he was 22. The predator was 50 YEARS OLD. He knew very well what he was doing. She did not fully comprehend his manipulative predatory tactics. This victim blaming has got to end.

If she murdered her sister we wouldn't be saying " she is 15 not to blame " no we woild say..."

    • @AM-re2bc
      @AM-re2bc 6 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      @@mattfirth987 Nope. She still may not be charged as an adult-especially given her circumstance. The affluenza boy who killed 4 got off extremely light because of his background.
      The two situations are also dissimilar. If, in the situation you presented, she was coerced by an authority figure to kill her sister in order to get away, she would be charged differently.
      It wasn't two 15 year olds that ran away. It was an old man and a minor. He was not only a much older adult but someone in a position of authority and took advantage of a child, knowing her harsh home life.
      The blame falls on the adult. The victim is the child that was coerced by a man of authority.

      It isn't always the younger generations, though? I see many of the younger generation do victim-blaming. You also have to understand that older generations were raised differently.
      Also, people aren't wrong. The younger generation spends more time on technology and social media than any other generation. And respect one's elders is a term used to show respect to those who have lived on this Earth much longer than you, as a way to acknowledge that. Those point have nothing to do with your claim on the younger generation, so I am confused. Correct me if I am wrong.

He convinced her that it was the only way "they" would not get into trouble, and being a child she believed him. He is a very convincing man when you first meet him, seems very Godly and wholesome. Any teacher which is a position of power who will cross that boundaries between teacher and student is wrong. She was alteady vulnerable and predators can pick up on that vulnerability and manipulate a situation with someone who is younger. The teacher could have been a positive influence but instead used sex to confuse her further.

    The reason she is a victim weather or not she’s old enough to know better is because of the power difference. We are talking about a teacher and a student in this situation the teacher is in power and has a lot of influence on her. She probably sees him more than her own parents. In school we are told that the teacher is right and that we listen to what the teacher tells us and we do what we are told. And that is exactly what we do. As far as we are concerned what the teacher tells use is true and we believe it to be true. She is 15 he is 50 another thing that holds power. We are told that older people are wise and what they say is true because they have experienced life. This is a 15 year old student with a 50 year old teacher. He could have told her anything and her reasoning would have been “he’s my teacher why would he lie to me. He is old he knows what he’s talking about.”

    "she went willingly" because she was 15 and in a fragile state that this sick older man was ready to take advantage of..

    It’s horrible that people keep accusing this poor girl of asking for it. She is a victim. People that believe that this girl was asking for it should rot for the rest of their life.

    I can understand the homeschool part. Especially when there things going on behind the scene. There is no escape. I hate homeschool and not that good at socializing with people especially with opposite gender.

      LOGICAL MIND She went from homeschool to high school. That’s very different than being homeschooled throughout or starting homeschooling as a teen.

    • @AM-re2bc
      @AM-re2bc 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Nope. A lot of homeschoolers have social groups. And a lot of kids in public school still do not get proper socialization.
      Let's just start blaming public school for all the criminals it pumps out.

      I’m homeschooled and I can talk to everyone perfectly fine🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t really think it’s the schools fault...

      This comment and the replies are great. The 1st comment contains grammatical errors and shows no forethought. The pro-homeschool replies are well written and make concise points.

      Wow you're extremely ignorant. Has nothing to do with the schooling. I'm homeschooled and can socialize with people just fine. Some people are generally more shy and don't like socializing. That's not the schools fault.

    I feel really bad for this girl having to deal with all of this and having her life exposed in this way and then for people to think that she wanted this WTF she’s a child. People that blame her are just as sick as this guy.

    First off this girl is not ugly...at all. This poor girl is the result of neglect by her father and mother. A loved child doesn't seek acceptance to this level. It's sad that she never thought someone knew her down to her soul.

    Poor girl. The old men took advantage of her. The mother is discusting. Being a teen isn’t easy, being a neglected teen is unbearable.

    I understand how she felt about telling anyone about the teacher kissing her when I was only 13 years old a 70 year old man that was my grandfather friend ended up kissing me so I don't think she took advantage of him. He took advantage of her.

    I love how they talk about his religiosity..."Oh he went to church, did mission work, thought Bible school" as if that makes it shocking that he did this...LMFAO
    When I hear about someone that involved in religion, I immediately think that they're hiding a twisted secret...

    Predators prey on the vulnerable, grooming them by pretending to be there for them. They identify the needs and then use them to their own advantage. This child is 100% innocent.
