Not everyone has family, and this season their are alot of senior citizens alone with no family. I'm sure Christmas for them is a reminder of what they don't have. So maybe this Christmas do something good for a senior invite for a dinner at a restaurant or something. Even just a walk in the park with coffee with brighten up their spirits this year.
I've been watching you for 6+ years, and you continue to share the best DIYs, hacks, and etc. I look forward to every video. You are a blessing to the TH-cam community.
I love your enthusiasm. It's contagious. I'm looking forward to decorating and I certainly got many great ideas from you. 🎄 I didn't even put a tree up last year. My Mom passed away in September after suffering from Dementia for 6 years. Bear with me, this has a positive outcome. ❤ As the disease progressed it became more and more painful each year, especially to celebrate holidays. We always included her. My family believes ,as per the gospel, that she is now in heaven. She is able to think, to walk, to talk..We miss her so much. However, this year, instead of mourning, our family will be rejoicing. Rejoicing the birth of the Christ child, and my Mom's freedom from her suffering. We did this recently on her birthday. We went to church and then went to brunch to celebrate her. We all shared happy memories. I share this hoping it may give someone peace, and the abilty to allow yourself to feel joy. Stay blessed Kathryn. Choose love always.🕊️🕊️🕊️
I love your videos always! But please be careful with the timer candles. I was so excited to find them! I stuck them on my windows and after a few minute one fell off. As I went to pick it up, the candle itself was scorching hot and melting! It smelled terribly of burning plastic. I just wanted to share that so others are careful. With them being so close to my curtains it could have been very bad 🫣
Oh no!! I just bought 4 of them. My hubby said lithium batteries could do that. It would be awful to have a fire during the Holidays. I will treat them like candles and not leave unattended. Thank you for caring for others with a warning. Bless you.
Thank you for sharing. It is so important to know that is a possibility, especially since it is on a timer, so we might have turned it on and forgotten about it
Hi Owen! Little cutie 😃 Lovvvvve a few of these items ! The LED projector, battery timer candles 🕯 totes, ornaments & storage box, treat bags 🎉 SO many goooodies ❤
Each year, my niece buys $50-$60 worth of ornaments. Then, decorates her family tree. After Christmas, she packs up the ornaments in $store containers with lids to donate to a woman's shelter. That way when a woman, usually a mom with children, leaves the shelter she'll already have "Christmas" for the upcoming year. My niece has no storage other than her tree. ❤️💚❤️
Preschool teacher here! I always pick up the wood ornaments for the kids to decorate and make garland out of the ornaments to hang in the classroom!! Looks super cute!❤
I just saw where you can take a shower curtain rod. Put your garland on it then place it in any doorway. It works great! Since it’s a tension rod it should fit most doorways.
2:46 so i make my own slips for throw pillows bc the slips take up less storage room during off-season… i use double-sided heat-fusing interfacing to secure zippers and seams so they take very little time to actually make lol
After every one of your videos Kathryn, I just shake my head in awe of you, everything you touch turns to beauty, thank you for your continued inspiration
I love how you show, and take us with you shopping at your dollar tree, it’s exciting. I wish my dollar tree carries all of this stuff your showing here.
you take the dollar tree and make it high-end everything always looks amazing never cheap. Love your videos. Please never stop making them lol now I’m getting in the car and driving to Dollar tree.
4:03 i used these beads differently…. So i crocheted the popcorn, painted these wooden beads to look like cranberries (the best is to use a glossy-finish paint bc it makes them look more realistically like cranberries), then strung them together to put on my tree lol
The sad part is that not all DTs are created equal. Mine doesn’t even have a plus section nor does it get the great finds others get. But, I still love watching! ❤
Such great items at Dollar Tree and such cute ideas!😍 You're helping us use DT items in a way we never thought of!😘 Thanks for sharing another great and inspiring video!🥰
Happy Tuesday beautiful lady ❤ you have the most amazing DYI hacks tips and so much more 😊 definitely outside with the solar 😊 thank you so much for this have a wonderful week ❤💗💜🦋🌈
A Christmas DIY I did recently at the dollar store was buy the wreath rings (1 large and the 2-pack of the small), zip tied them together to make Mickey ears and wrapped them in sparkly garland with some small ornaments and a bow! It turned out so cute and I saw a similar looking one for $80 on Amazon.
You’re a craft genius! I never do any decorating for Christmas (bah humbug- too much bother 😉). You’ve actually inspired me with some creative ideas for the home and for gifts. Thx so much!
Thankfully, your channel came up recently via the algorithm! So YES, please share your house tour, especially with Christmas ideas like the ones you share in this video! ‼️💫👏🎥‼️
Oh my I just loved all these ideas. My husband died a couple of months ago and he loved to decorate for Christmas and although it will be just me and the critters I am determined to decorate all out this year. So I will be adding a few of your fabulous ideas. Blessings my friend.
I bought the little pink trees just because I love pink, and my cabin decor is Shabby Chic. I didn’t even notice the peppermints on the bottom! When I did I wished I’d bought more!💕
Wow, time has FLOWN by. I remember when Owen was born and when you were giving advice on your old old house and when you used to curl up on the big chair and give advice.
I made the Christmas scene in the clear plastic bowls a couple years ago. When I took it down, I poured the epsom salts into a slider plastic bag. Put one bowl inside the other, put the bag and all the figures/trees/village and battery powered lights (took out the batteries) in the bowl too. Covered with a bowl cover until the next holiday season. Easy peezy to create for the next season! With the new tiny battery lights, I am thinking of making different scenes in different sized bowls for all around the house. I’ve noticed many areas do not have the Plus stores. So I thought maybe friends should get together and have an “Order from DT” gathering. So many items only come by the dozen so if you can get enough “wants” for one item the group can order, have them shipped to their favorite DT and have a get together to sort and gather their orders and set up their decorating! This might also indicate to DT that there is a need for the Plus store in the area.
I love making wonderful gift baskets from the dollar tree or exciting projects. My co workers always hope I pick their name for secret Santa because of the gifts❤
Wonderful ideas and products! This year we are taking our grandkids to DT to choose an ornament for our tree and one for their own. They are really excited
There are so many great ideas in this video that I want to try - the solar icicles especially - but the cutest part of the video is at 3:59 the photos of the boys when they were younger, hugging. Please show us more of your house and decor!!
Kathryne: PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE, let me have the dimensions of that cardboard template that came from the $$ Tree and you use for folding shirts and sweaters to the same size. $$ Tree no longer make them or, our $$Tree doesn't have them. I'm trying to redo my closets!! Thank you!! Keep these videos coming. I love them!!
I wish my DT looked like this! Mine is lucky to get a row or two of Christmas put out before the holiday. It ends up staying in the boxes scattered throughout the aisles. 🤔😳 I usually drive 4 hours to the next nicest DT!
I am so inspired by all of these DIY ideas! I absolutely love the wooden rings and wooden snowflake mobiles! I love the hot cocoa bar that you set up, too! I definitely want to make some of the Cool Whip and sprinkles cookie cutter shapes for hot cocoa! My family opens Christmas gifts on Christmas Eve, and I think I will make some of these and bring some of the hot cocoa bombs with me for our celebration! You always lift my spirits and inspire me in all of your videos! Wishing you and your family a very happy holiday season! ☕🎄❄♥🎅
We will celebrate mostly on the 23rd. I'm going to set up a hot cocoa display on a TV tray to save room on my counters. Those bombs look like a winner!
Hi. Where is this Dollar Tree? I have never seen such a well stocked store!! The stores we have in the south coast are not at all neat and organized. You are so privileged!! Enjoy your holiday season. 😊😊

I get huge plastic bags, 2 for a 1.25, and make up fruit baskets for our neighbors!! I see from your video I have to go back to a few more items. Thank you for the videos!!
your DIY ideas are awesome! i am not crafty in that way so i appreciate the simplicity. btw, i grabbed some of the Godiva bars and hot choco;ate balls for gift baskets. they look awesome and taste yummy! add a cute holiday mug and i'm done!
You are loved my friend! ❤
Thank you for not putting your hand in our faces. I really do appreciate it. I'm enjoying watching your videos.

The fuzzy stockings would be cute stuffed & sewn shut for decorative pillows.
I'm going to try that!
That's a great idea!! Thank you 🎄
I use dt items to decorate my mom’s long term care room. I keep one tote for all her decor.
❤
Preschool teacher here! I always pick up the wood ornaments for the kids to decorate and make garland out of the ornaments to hang in the classroom!! Looks super cute!❤

I remember Thirty-One!! I still have some of the bags for some reason (the retired apple blossom print was my fave)
The whip cream cookie cutter shapes is a fantastic idea

Super awesome!
Shaped whipped cream treats for hot chocolate ? I LOVE IT !!! 😃😄
