So happy to see you still wrenching on this thing! The technical fabrication stuff can be such a pain, 3d printing prototypes and jigs is brilliant. Love this series, keep up the good work!
Finally!! Thought the project had been cancelled or something 😅 Great to have you back!! 🎉 Edit: wrote the comment before actually watching the video. So sorry for your loss, man.
Michael, sorry to hear about your dogs. Losing a dog is never easy. Glad to see another video on the channel. Love seeing content from this project especially when some 3D printed parts are sprinkled in!
Good to see you back at it! Just ordered a Vevor Tube Notcher - thanks for the tip. Hopefully it will stand up long enough to build a roll cage... My wife was full of encouragement to go and buy the XR8 to build a race car. Her enthusiasm has waned somewhat as I collect more and more of the necessary parts, and of course it's never just 'weld in a cage and go racing'. First there's fix all the broken stuff... Then there's the "are you working on that thing again??" My advice - Hide most of the receipts!
Sorry for your loss. I love this offshoot of your other channel. My wife and I watch both as we love to 3d print (not super awesome at it but i can make some stuff thanks to your other videos lol) and we work on our cars together. Right now we are working on printing some new battery tie downs. It is super hard to find parts for right hand drive stuff here in the usa. Thanks for all of your videos they are freaking amazing :)
Hi Michael. I am not sure if I have already mentioned this but I would advise you to check the pushrod adjusters on the car. Some of the early cars had hollow adjusters which have been known to fail whilst adjusting the ride height. The hollow ones are not fit for purpose and the build quality is such that some of the wall thickness at the root of some of the external threads is insufficient. We just replicated the adjusters in solid. Hopes this helps
ah well don't I feel sheepish now. Though I am excited to see more progress on this project sorry to hear about your dogs too. It's hard to lose just 1, but what you went through is so much harder
So sorry to hear about your dogs Michael. That's really rough to lose both at the same time. Glad to hear that you got two new bundles of fluffy joy in your life though! Your welding looks pretty good!
The poor dogs great friends maybe you change the name of your race team TWO DOGS RACING. As for the car I'm patient do them when you can. Look forward to the next one 👍🎉
Snake breeding season took one of the cats at our place in Logan, I hope to see you at Mt Cotton soon, the 2018 tether ruling should be overcome by most now and hopefully a big few years ahead.
Hi, just a small tip when using a spray can use long strokes and stop the spraying at the end of each stroke. This way, you don't get a blob of paint on the return run, Cheers
Really sorry to hear about the dogs mate. Losing a pet unexpectedly can be a real killer. 😢 Glad to see you’re back though. I thought your welding was good. 👍🏻 Though your spraying is…not. 😁But hey you’re doing it, you’re living the dream.😎👍🏻 The way you heisted the car was a great idea. We live in a sad world where we have to explain why we do everything to avoid criticism 🙄 Looking forward to the next vid mate. 😎👍🏻…..”Wifey? Is this a trap?” 😂😂😂 Blessings from Dorset. 🙏😎👍🏻
Feel free to use a MIG welder on stuff like that. A LOT of the reason race cars use TIG is aesthetics. There are some niche places where TIG has an advantage, but if you are welding at home as a semi pro, your just spending more time to get the same result.
Man, was your intro music made by Jagwar Ma? Truly sounds. Also, thanks for doing all the racecar things I always wanted to do. Edit: Just got to the part about your dogs. :(((((((
I'm really sorry about your canine friends. Glad you found your way back to this project. Did you have welding skill before starting this or did you develop it for this project? Thanks for sharing.
I'm sorry to hear about the reason for the delay, but it's always great to see a new video of yours show up on my feed
I'm really sorry to hear about your loss, Michael. I'm glad you're back to work on this project!
Sorry to hear about your loss. But happy to see you've found 2 new friends to share your time with.
Cant wait to see your first laps in that car.
You're so thorough with everything... Except paint! Cracks me up every time.
Tricky welds. Nice job.
2:53 I was not expecting this phrasing from teaching tech 😂
I hope his knob felt secure by the end of your efforts

Oh yes I’ve been waiting for this notification for so long
Finally!! Thought the project had been cancelled or something 😅
Great to have you back!! 🎉
Edit: wrote the comment before actually watching the video. So sorry for your loss, man.
So glad to see you continuing the series.
And I'm so sorry about your dogs, I can't imagine that I have 4 dogs and I can't imagine losing them.
Michael, sorry to hear about your dogs. Losing a dog is never easy. Glad to see another video on the channel. Love seeing content from this project especially when some 3D printed parts are sprinkled in!
Very sorry to hear of your loss. That would be crushing. Glad you're now feeling up to continuing your channels. Happy thoughts from the USA.
Was hoping these videos would start again!
What a journey. But you found the right guy at Andrews Race Cars, this guy is a legend. .
Good to see you back at it!

Really glad to see your videos back. This series was very helpful for me during a time of extreme anxiety.
It's nice to know others have a similar approach to painting 😂
So good to see the series continue! Greetings from Germany 👋🏼
Glad to see you back at the wheel so to speak, so sorry to hear about your dogs but its good to how you have turned it around
Awesome series mate. Keep em coming, even if they take a few months we will still be here

Sorry about the old dogs. - Congrats on the new dogs!
Sensational video, and im sorry to hear of your loss. I was very excited to see a new video pop up from TTR however. Always such a great watch
Sorry for your loss. Awesome videos!
Loving the new channel. Just waiting on delivery of my Caterham style kit car. Not quite the same but as exiting
I've done a handful of my own engine conversions, but I'm quite impressed with the V6 in the Mirage. Hats off to old mate for pulling off that one 👌
The poor dogs great friends maybe you change the name of your race team TWO DOGS RACING. As for the car I'm patient do them when you can. Look forward to the next one 👍🎉
I'm so sorry for your loss.
That Dave's a lucky man.

Thanks, but my painting is beyond saving.

finally a new video
hes back!

I did a welding course a while back. Then random projects over the years.
Racecar Family😂😂 “Is that a moon”…. 🇦🇺🤜🏼🤛🏼😎☮️🍀
ITS A TRAPPPPP! 😂
please update often. if no work is done on you car at least talk about the culture and your future goals
“Turn-key race car”. 😂 BTDT
2:53 HAHAHA
Dude. 12:02 buff AF. You been workin out??!! Sorry about the dogs 😢
anyone who says suspension isn't made to take side loads doesn't undertand that during cornering it takes way more side load than that.
👍
I've never in my life heard the term "race car family". I think I might be too Canadian to know what that is
I've never heard of it either. That's why I was so suspicious.
Are you aiming for Winton in April or Eastern Creek in May?
Winton no, interstate for the first time would be too far. Eastern creek in May would be great but I don't know if it's realistic.
Hi Michael. Would you like support with your chassis setup?
Get yourself a gas lens for your tig torch
can i ask how wide is this vehicle? (front wheel track and rear wheel track)
Nothing quite like an amateur welding in harness mounts 😂 or a light hammer tap for QC 💀
2:57 can be taken so out of context 😂😂
It’s a voice over, homie is a comedian.
nooooo trick is dont rush it, long strokes and pause the spray at the end of each run, practice on a piece of cardboard. (now go try my grasshopper)
First 15
Wifey is this a trap ?😂😂😂😂😂
should not have used paint could have saved a few tenths
Dude… 😂 attention to detail… wasp nest… triggered 😂😂😂😂
You’ll have to give it the nickname wasp nest now! 😑
