Currently sharing my wife’s car and desperately looking for a potential prospect to fill the void (not just in garage, but more in heart) that Altis has left behind. I have always felt that Creta/ Seltos are just beefed up hatchbacks but they must be really nice cars given their demand and sales. I’m confused between Honda City, Seltos and Creta too. Why? Because I always feel sedans are fun to drive (Altis hangover) but looking at the trend and the fact that at almost same price you get more space (I could be wrong) in Creta and Seltos. I’m also looking for occasional trips to mountains. Ps - the car will be an automatic and hopefully top variant. Also, do you know if Toyota will ever re-launch Altis? Thanks a lot. I was always surprised by your work and this is no exception as you guys always review a car with ease and curiosity which helps us know better about the vehicle. City is a nice car but don't you think an automatic in diesel is needed considering what the competition has on their cards and increasing customer base turning towards automatics?
It’s nice to know you enjoy what we do. As for your question- Diesel and automatic is an expensive combination. And if there’s very little demand for it, it doesn’t make sense for a car maker to add it to the line up and build stock around it.
Nice review sir.. seen your other video first which you uploaded recently.. that was different and this is a true review.. what’s your take on the ground clearance? Will it survive our roads? Hello. Looking to buy a car in the 20 lakh range and am confused between the Kia seltos GTX+ DCT and Honda City ZX CVT. Which one would you recommend between the two? I usually keep my cars for 8-10 years and primary requirement is long term reliability and space. Ride quality is also very important since roads around my house are very poor. I already own a 2018 Creta.
The SUVs mentioned are available for a similar price. And as things stand, it’s the same set of customers who were looking at sedans like the City and the Verna, say five years back, who now want SUVs. So, we thought the real challenge for the new City comes from the more popular SUVs in this class.
Actually it makes sense to compare with them. No point crowning the city as a winner comparing with Verna and rapid. Creta and the Seltos are the cars at 16-20lakh bracket I would consider if I was looking at city too. They offer better performance, more equipment and occupy smaller real estate. If I want a driver’s car I would go with a rapid tsi eyes closed Anyway Vikrant, since the Creta also has a comfortable back seat, how would you rate the City’s ride compared to the new Creta in city and highway. I saw the review where you have rated the ride and handling of city better than it’s predecessor but how does the ride compare to the new Creta?
Prasanna s The Creta is plush too if I remember correctly. But it’s only when you drove the two cars back to back that one shines through. It’s a good idea, maybe we will pitch the two against each other and talk about more than just ride!
I am in the U.S. and I believe the City is closely related to the Honda Fit we receive here? However, we only get the car as a 5 door hatch and not a sedan. The interior of this car is MILES ahead of the Fit, which, as you pointed out has many "cut lines" and a few panels of different textures. For the interior alone I think customers in the US would buy this instead of a Civic. In the US, this would compete with a Nissan Versa and a Toyota Yaris, with the Toyota in the US being a badge-engineered Mazda2...so probably the Honda's fiercest competitor. BTW, in the video, when you were accelerating the engine got louder but the car did not appear to be going any faster. Definitely a case for buying either diesel or petrol with the manual transmission.
Thanks for the insights on the US market. And though it might seem like the engine is revving and the car isn’t gaining momentum as quickly, I feel it could also be because of the background... or the lack of something close to the window to give the impression of speed.
Yes, that’s the efficiency it returned since it was standing more than running while going through the static and interior shoots. It is in no way a reflection of the car’s efficiency.
Vikrant plz keep ur old style of calmness in ur voice I feel it is bit excitement in ur voice wch is not better than compared with ur old style ,,, ur voice is very refreshing to hear so plz keep ur old fashion
Considering the price list has been given out to the public, would you say that City would make much more sense compared to the Seltos and Creta(taking similarly priced variants). Please do let me know. Amazing review sir 👌👌👌
Thanks Ninad. Now, to the question if the city vs the SUVs. I think the SUVs are definitely better spec for spec as packages. The City has its advantages, but as a product overall, especially at this price, no it doesn’t beat the SUVs.

Does anyone notice the bad paint job? The silver is especially bad. Bumpers are a shade different, in the opening minute notice the back door is distinctly different in its shade.
maybe city will maintain its comfy ride..but on the outside ,it has lost its charm..atleast let it not remind us of a yaris..nor is it a keen driver's car..nyway good review!..good day folks

Thank you. As for choosing between the Verna and this new City, we don’t know the price of this one to begin with. And two, unless we drove them back to back, difficult to comment. But which powertrain option of the Verna are you going for?
@@vikrantsingh6916 Verna SX petrol manual..it comes arround 16 lac.. drawback of Verna is rear seat space comport..now am thinking to buy new City petrol manual varient..don't know the city price compare to Verna..
@V P you are kidding me honda city scored 5 stars in ASEAN NCAP It's got Alexa enabled telematics india first, G force meter that you get on nissan gtr's lane watch camera and ambeint lighting which the verna still dreams for.nothing can match city in handling, comfort in back seats ,performance of a vtec verna is a trash in handling and chaffeaur driving character.Verna just two to three extra features and also an cheap overdesigned exterior.Honda builds tough cars and tough engines too they last more than 12 years verna engine barely lasts 10 years. Thanks for the insights on the US market. And though it might seem like the engine is revving and the car isn’t gaining momentum as quickly, I feel it could also be because of the background... or the lack of something close to the window to give the impression of speed.
Ultimate review sir Manuel or automatic better sir city
2:23 mileage is showing 4.6km/ltr?
Yes, that’s the efficiency it returned since it was standing more than running while going through the static and interior shoots. It is in no way a reflection of the car’s efficiency.
How u compare it with the SUV like creta and seltos its a sedan
Vikrant plz keep ur old style of calmness in ur voice I feel it is bit excitement in ur voice wch is not better than compared with ur old style ,,, ur voice is very refreshing to hear so plz keep ur old fashion
Sure Samprith. Will do.
V well engaging and viewer friendly showcase. Awesome
Hello Manuj. Thanks for appreciation and the kind words. Don't forget to subscribe to our channel and share this video. 😊
Thank you for your input 😊😊😊
@@vikrantsingh6916 hi sir am considering creta , heard that its bad at breaking system is it that bad to drop creta ??
So vikrant which one among these three you feel best as per price, performance wise..... ?
The Creta as an overall package.
Which one would u suggest honda city petrol zx Mt (6 airbags) or Hyundai creta SX manual petrol ( 2 airbags + better features )
Safety first!
Just now subscribed to carwale only because of the fabulous presenter of my favourite car that I'm gonna get in couple of month's. TYSM for very detail and class of clarity that I've gained from this video of this 5th gen city. I like this video alot and mainly Vikrant you're a art piece man!💯👌🔥
Thank you so much! Glad to know you liked the content.
@Vikrant Singh hi, what would you recommend between city zx cvt vs creta sxo ivt for mostly city driving. Does creta justify almost 2.5 lakh premium over city
I d take the City.
Thanks for all the useful information about the City .Subscribed !
Thanks Vaishali.
Great review sir.
This guy's reviews are just brilliant.
Thank you Bhavesh!
Hi Vikrant, Very nice, please do a Tucson review.
Thanks Balinder. We will have one for you as soon as we can get our hands in the press car.
Bruh is it worth buying new city vx cvt over a used 2019 zx cvt which has run only 30,000 @ 11 lacs?
Does anyone notice the bad paint job? The silver is especially bad. Bumpers are a shade different, in the opening minute notice the back door is distinctly different in its shade.
Refinement! Both Vikrant and Honda, by far the best reviewer in the world...sounded to me like a tech talk happening in moving auditorium...
Hi Vikrant. Good to see you back with car reviews. Waiting for your inputs on the vW T ROC and skoda Karoq... Hope to see the reviews soon
Hi Rohan. I too am waiting to drive the TRoc and the Karoq. Apna time aayega. Lockdown jald hi Jayega.
Yes. Waiting to watch you in action.
Vikrant sir is back with a bang very very informative review. Sir please review creta 1.5cvt , Nissan 1.3 ltr auto and verna
joy banerjee Thank you Joy! The Creta and the Verna we should be able to bring to you soon. Not so sure about the Nissan’s timeline though...
Which Rear Seat is Comfortable for Long Journey Creta Rear Seat or XL6 Rear Captain Seat ? Sir
I haven’t driven or experienced the XL6 personally. So can’t really comment. But the Creta seats we pretty good. Comfy and large.
@@vikrantsingh6916 thanks for reply
maybe city will maintain its comfy ride..but on the outside ,it has lost its charm..atleast let it not remind us of a yaris..nor is it a keen driver's car..nyway good review!..good day folks
It’s a keen driver’s car, yes.
sure its u who hv driven.😊
I agree! Too much chrome for my liking
A very well presented Car review , with almost all aspects covered!
Thank you for the appreciation 😊

Totally agree with you there! We have the pleasure of working with one of the finest.
Hi, I am new subscriber... really good review for every aspect..am planning to buy Verna SX petrol.. now am confused about new City..can you please tell me which one is better Verna or City value for money like features, comfort, safety aspects.
City is the king of the sedans
Nicely explained video best feedback keep up the good work
Thank you.
Planning to buy used Corolla Altis 2015 D 4D G deisel, done 50000 kms, quoting 9 lacs, is it a good deal, please advise
You can go for it. But try and push the price down by another 50k.
