Thanks, very useful. When I see a company invest time and money producing videos like this it makes sense to buy one of their pumps- which I have! Nice to know there are service kits out there, unlike the mystery Chinese pumps.
Thank you for posting. I took my comet AXD pump valve covers off and found two of the lower pressure valves had large pieces of rust debris stuck in them. I was able to clear them and clean them in toilet bowl cleaner and put it back together and now it works fine.
Oh. Ok. I have a problem with my unloader valve. I didn't relize there was another part down there. I see it now. I'll have to find a tool to get that out. This was a vary helpful video to me. Thanks.
Thank you very much for making this how to fix video ! I wish every product I bought came with great videos like this. Does Comet still make any replacement parts for AXD 2424 - 6501 004000 ? cant find anything on your website

On axd 1617 I see a hex plug screw beside the outlet port and directly connected to the unloader valve. I've pulled up diagrams of the pump but can not find a answer. Can that plug be removed and replaced with a threaded barb to go to a buffer tank?
Hello Enrique. It is not recommend to remove that plug. Pressure to your hose will be lost. Are you trying to get to the external bypass? Let us know. We can give us a call at 800-864-1649 . Or provide us your email address and we can reach out directly that way.
Hello Chris. Our Tech likes to use general purpose grease. As far as the seals around the pistons, are you referring to the oil seals? If so, you have to drain the oil and then push the pistons out and then pull the oil seals and put the new ones in. Let me know if there is any need for clarification or additional questions!
Thank you for the fast reply. Yes, the oil seals. I understand draining the oil but am not sure about pushing the pistons out. Does the pump body have to come apart (the 4 hex screws joining the 2 halves) to push them out?
I'm looking for information and parts for my pump, It's a GXD 2527. I looked on the Comet website and couldn't find any information. Can anyone help me out?

Hello Muchsin. Thanks for the question, but not sure what you are asking. Are you looking for the part # that is associated with the extractor? If so, that will be part # 0899.0007.00. If there is more questions, feel free to reach out to our team at email: cometpump@cometpump.com!
Hello. Thanks for the question. I spoke with our technical team and they believe that your unloader is causing back pressure in the pump. They recommended cleaning out the unloader as there may be debris stuck in there. If that doesn't help, please give our team a call at 952-707-1894.
One more thing that could be causing this is the amount of oil that is in the pump. In the AXD series the pump only requires 6 ounces of oil to properly coat the moving parts in the crankcase.

Hi, what would be the most probable cause for a milky oil foam coming out of the Oil Cap with Vent for an AXD 2325? Thanks
Hello. Milky oil is caused by water getting into the crank case. This would mean your water and oil seals are bad and will need to be replaced.
@@CometPumps thanks! What repair kit should I buy then?
