Well I hope you didn't miss the Tomy Enterprise Refit they just crowd funded for $700. They just finished fundraising and will build and deliver the Refit in Oct 2025, it'll be made from metal and weight about 20 lbs with top end paint and effects.
@@robertkees6048 I was sorely, sorely tempted, but between having nowhere to display a model that big as well as $700 being most of a month's rent for me, I chose to let it go. Making adult decisions sucks sometimes.

This part is crazy....My tale is one of luck, I called Tomy this past January to see if they might have a waiting list for the TOS Enterprise they made last fall. Somehow they had some available for $599 each, and they were already selling for $1200 to $1500 on Ebay so I stupidly took out $1800 from my savings and bought three. I just sold one on Ebay for $2205, I'll sell a second one eventually (watching the market) and the third one I kept was essentially free. Hell that sale alone paid for $400 of the $700 of the Refit. When I do sell the second one that'll cover the Refit and put a bunch of profit into my savings account, so both of them will be free, eventually. I couldn't believe I did it, but I knew I'd never lose money and I was right, thankfully cause that was seriously stupid. lol. True story.
This is my favorite Enterprise depiction, thank you, well done! Oh, and thank you for remembering to install the 2 rear phasor banks above the docking bay, and the 4 banks underneath the secondary hull on the bottom of the ship! I really wish they showed those firing at sometime, I have only seen them doing so on a Star Trek MMO!

I have a trek friend that works in the Hollywoilod film auctions Industry, and he has a very rare one of a kind double 1/350 scale version of the original, and it's not lit up like yours, but it's really something, because the saucer section is about 48 inches across! Wow, when I visit him I'm always entranced with the eloquent timeless beauty and mechanical genius of Matt Jefferies. For all of us that genuflect at the alter of Roddenberry, we're even happy if we wore red shirts,,,,yes? Of course, she's, a beautiful, sexy, wonderous wonderful way to travel amongst the stars. When I built all the original kits back before the custom lighting, I assembled an original series 'Bridge ' kit. I spent a month dremolling out all the areas that needed to light. And I bought an 18 inch diameter flouresnt round bulb by Westinghouse, from the local hardware store, and placed my Bridge model in the middle and made a shroud of cardboard to hide the bulb, and it was exciting as hell to see 3 months of work, completely lit from behind with one light source. Your model is far more sophisticated with the polar lights kit, but never the less, thank you for sharing your passion. Live long and prosper my friend. Ronnie
Beautiful! I've always wondered if this Refit Enterprise was simply a professionally built 1:350 Polar Lights model, or a completely new mold. The Polar Lights model has a few very subtle errors that are noticeable on closer inspection. LLAP! 🖖
She’s a beauty. I do find that the Polar Lights Enterprise refit is amazing too. The thing these vessels have is the scale. If I have one *slight* gripe it’s that the warp nacelles when lit aren’t that lovely purple colour.
I always wondered what these were like. It doesn’t look that much different than the Polar Lights one I built for about $1000 and the lighting with sound is superior.

I eventually told my wife where that print came from etc thru conversation. Amazingly it somehow fell off the wall where I installed a 3 pronged 75 lbs picture frame hanger and broke and was subsequently thrown out.
Great job! I would be interested in watching another video from you showing the interior of the hangar bay. I can’t get over how bright the lights are. And there’s no light leakage from any seam. Good job!

Hi Joey - Thanks! It is a wonderful ship! Very well designed, assembled and painted! The Master Replica version in very attractive and I am sure it's great to have displayed! As I recall, it was almost 4 months later. Just long enough to start to worry, but it was worth the wait! =) It was shipped by truck in a large wooden crate (18"x30"x60" or so) and was very well packed in expanding foam within. If you're considering ordering it, you won't be disappointed =)
I have the Master Replicas model as well, and am quite happy with it, but that thing is gorgeous. Would you mind telling how much it cost? Never mind; I see that you posted the price. Wow, a little rich for my blood, but I’ll bet it compares very favorably to the original studio model for quality!
I would deeply enjoy having a Connie refit Enterprise model like this... One problem tho.... A little kitty of mine would try to play with it and invariably would break it, even tho he would not intend to.

Soooooo if each of those light up windows is an office or an apartment, those people in the dock area are about 15-20 feet tall. Some scale issues there otherwise a beautiful model
The scale seems wrong on the shuttle bay. The lower section is supposed to have 10 stories to it, but , judging by the human figures, the bay has the sizing of a cargo plane.
QMXonline.com might still have it for sale. As for mine, I haven't considered sellining it. It was $5995 when new and is 9 of 250 in that batch. If you want to make an offer, i suppose I'll consider it. I'm on FB for an instant/direct message.
My guess is, there not exactly giving these away. For the life of me, why can't they find a better way to run that power cord! It makes it look like a toy, and just in general, takes away from the look.
