Remember to cover the air bricks around the home, or the water just floods up underneath the floor. I drilled holes either side of the air bricks and pushed long threaded bolts through from the inside. I made a shape cut out of eighth inch thick plastic sheet around an inch bigger than the air bricks width and height. I glued on a piece of thin rubber sheet onto the plastic. Drill two holes in the plastic to match the width of the bolts. Then when you want to seal the air brick, place the plastic over the air brick with the rubber facing the wall. Use two wing nuts to tighten the plastic up to the wall so the rubber forms a watertight seal between the plastc and the air brick. A thin metal bar fitted going across between the bolts can stop the pladtic sheet bending if the surface of the brickwork is uneven.
Will this work for wooden french doors that open to a foyer? On the inside are 2 condos on the bottom floor and 2 on the second floor. People are coming and going so the doors are unlocked. Also would this be easy to step over?
Love how they remind us again and again that it can't be stolen when the door is closed - obviously intended for the UK market where people just steal stuff at random. That would be completely unheard of where I live.
Floodshield must be out of business as no replies are posted and site was posted 10 years ago.....too bad as it seems like a good solution for hurricanes here in Florida.
Don't buy this! When they don't even bother to answer potential costumers in 2 years, how would you think the service will be when they have got your money or even if something is wrong??!! No, when buying a so important product, do you have to trust the brand and a brands who don't give a damn isn't worth your trust!
@@Lil1697 Hi, and thanks for your reply. Aside from this situation, would you not say the same? If a place doesn't even bother to reply to potential costumers, how do they then react if there should be a fault. :-)
Where can I buy this and what’s the cost

This was My grandad company and it’s no longer his company anymore so get in touch with the guy who bought it off him in 2017 😊
