A flawless Contra 4 co-op no deaths run! Played with a friend on normal difficulty, captured on a real New Nintendo 3DS from Katsukity. We played as Probotectors. :)
This was waaaaay harder than it looks and not because of the actual difficulty but because of the frequent lags (those barely exist in single player btw), which caused very annoying and hard to deal with input lags so it was very easy to fall into a bottomless pit or catch a bullet.
Contra 4 is one of my favorite games ever, I love it! I hope you will enjoy this awesome run! - เกม

I just really like the fact that this game is a love letter to the entire series.

Thanks! If I remember correctly, you unlock them by completing some missions in Challenge Mode.
Complete missions in Challenge Mode will unlock characters: So you can unlock Sheena, Lucia, and the Probotector. Its in a certain order. The probotector I think is either in the middle range of missions completed or with a good portion of em done.

Wow very well done. i wish i could do this but sadly i never have someone to play with. though in my case i like to play as the white Probotector, the only time i play with GoldenRod(the yellow Probotector)is when i'm using the debug menu, because it loads you on a stage with GoldenRod as the default character.
Thanks! Yeah, I wish there were more colors available, especially for single player. The purple one is only for the second player.
@@ArtFenixAsordis Well it's actually blue, which is based on the blue robot from the first game that was controlled by the second player. but wait, does that mean that in multiplayer both players are stuck with the same character? if so then that stinks.
Yeah, both P1 and P2 will always be the same character but colored differently. And no, that Probotector is not blue. Blue is available separately but if P1 choses Yellow, P2 will be purple as seen in this video.

I know it's like 4 years later, but does Co-op still work now? I'd like to get a couple carts for my little brothers, so.
It works, cause it's local co-op. Doesn't need Internet.

I play on a real console and my friend had his own. I used a special 3DS with a capture board modded in.
Can u play online mutiplayer or just local multiplayer wireless?
DS online services have been shut down a few years ago, so local multiplayer only.
@@ArtFenixAsordis wait, this game had online multiplayer? I thought it was just local. Not sure if you know this by now, but there is a way to still play online DS games even though Nintendo's servers were shut down.

I don't think it's possible to play Nintendo DS games online anymore unless there's some kinda hombrew server.
@@ArtFenixAsordis yeah thats what I meant. I can still connect for example Prime Hunters DS online thanks to wimmfi or something like that.
@@ultraspinalki11 and this is why local play will always be better than online. Once they shut down the servers, it's single player only unless someone makes their own server but even then, you still need an internet connection. You can play locally anywhere.
